1992 Honda Accord

This vehicle right off When I came to pick it up. The hood was up, Seller stated belt needed to be dressed. Drove it, the clutch grabbed really high. The owner had stated that was brand new Engine ran fine, but would slightly crack up at about 75 80 mph and a shake in the front end. Well I guess 151,000 miles and the seller stated it was hit in the side. Before I left NYS I asked some questions about recon autos Need another inspection there a $205.00 one by a NYS DMV inspector not a average mechanic. So I did not buy this auto because it seemed that it could become very pestilent. The seller said your going to pay my listing fee and I did just that. My lesson learned was look first before you bid.

My first Honda Accord was a 1992 EX Sedan. It was very reliable, cheap on gas, ran very smooth and was fast!!! Over the years I have had several other cars after my accord and NONE have measured up. I still miss it. Trust me, Honda Accord's are GREAT cars, find one in good condition and maintain it properly and you won't be dissapointed.

Once contact was made with seller the completion of the sale was smooth. Just as described with a few minor dents. Bought this car for my stepmother and she is very happy with her newbie. I would buy another vehicle from this seller.

Before I could get the car registered, the rear view mirror fell off. Then when I went to have the vehicle registered, I had some serious hassles - at one point I was denied; The muffler fell off the next week - totally rotted; I was told that the Catalytic Converter was fake - just some metal formed to look like a catalytic converter - so I have to be careful of carbon monoxide poisoning - etc, until i can get it replaced. There is oil in the Spark plug tubes - Not to mention the tremendous amount of oil that the vehicle is burning (3 + quarts a month). The car is a good "beater" back and forth to work - but it is NOT nearly as nice as it was described. I would not have "bid" as high for this vehicle had I known the truth about these problems. For $1850, I expected a vehicle to "drive", not one that needed constant repairs right off the bat. I have asked the seller to take care of the catalytic converter - since it should have been noticed during the State Inspection. The seller had originally offered to pay for repairs that exceeded $270 - to get the vehicle past the state inspection. In addition to the $80 I paid for the State Inspection, I paid $80 in repairs (They replaced the rear view mirror [Which promptly fell off again] and some exhaust hangers). And I also paid for a Muffler which was around $80. So I feel the seller should pay for the catalytic converter or atleast a portion of the cost. I have emailed him and requested him to do so but have not received an answer from him - therefore I can only assume that he is not going to agree to this.

i bought it based on sellers description however seller lied about condition of car and recieved no satisfaction from seller or ebay when i filed a dispute.

We've owned a 92 Accord for a few years now. It's a 4 cylinder sedan. It isn't exactly a performance minded car but it makes up for it in reliability. We've managed to put an average of 22,xxx miles on it a year since we bought it. Other than replacing the radiator fan that went out, the only thing we've had to do to the car is regular oil changes every 3000 miles. It gets around 27 miles a gallon on the highway (a bit under the EPA rated spec... but then again what cars get more than EPA estimate). The interior is spacious for the size of the car. It has tons of trunk room for a car its size. We regularly haul a 22 Cutting Inch push lawn mower in the trunk to mow a rental property. The mower deck will fit all the way in the trunk with only the handle sticking out so that it doesn't have to be tied down or us worry about it flying out while going down the road. All in all, It's a great point A-B car with no hassles and semi well appointed creature comforts.

I drove all the way to West Palm Beach Fl. To pick up the car. The person would not answer any of may calls. Until today no response. Why waste time with this matter? People like that should not get away like but, they do.

liked car. Disliked the fact that seller mislead on listing,which lead to sale going bad. Car was listed as his car with CLEAR title. Won bid sent deposit picked up car. Went to title car found title was signed in wrong spot contacted seller. that found out that car wasn't in his name. also the guy whos car it was had never properly titled the car in his name so he canb't sell it until he titles it in his name. so in be careful of the clear title on a listing. It doen't mean it is really clear.

good car, reliable and cheap on gas, didnt like the seats or the layout of the center counsel, great value
