2003 GMC Envoy

I was concerned about the towing capacity for my 21 ft. boat. Having owned a big and thirsty GMC YUKON with a V8, to the Envoy V6 4.2L. I towed my boat over 450 miles without any problems, fears or concerns. This motor performed flawlessly. The AWD/4x4 model offers an extra boost of confidence at the boat ramp as well. After 66,000 miles and not one service repair problem. Of course there are recalls, but they were handled quickly by the dealer. I am 6 ft. 7inches tall and I am very comfortable in the Envoy. Envoys equipped w/ a sunroof can cut out 2 inches of headroom, but since I do not have one, it is very comfortable with no hair rub on the ceiling. I honestly believe an American automaker finally got one right. As for MPGs, my GMC Yukon was getting 13 to 16, while the Envoy averages 16-21. With gas prices on the constant rise, that difference in mileage can mean a difference in a trip to Disney or a trip to your back yard pool. I highly recommend this vehicle.
