What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

I love the 50's retro look and color teal. It drives great and looks great too.
It is good on gas and very comfortable. The convertible is very easy to use and everyone stops to comment on how nice the car is.

2002 Ford Thunderbird: Pleasantly Surprised....

I fell in love with this retro-bird in 2001 when the first pictures of the car came out. I have wanted one ever since, and came across a 2002 with only 8,000 miles on it, and acquired it. What I wasn't prepared for was the superior engineering of the car. The performance is amazing, fit and finish is outstanding, and the Jaguar/Lincoln platform is easily felt on the drive. It's surprisingly comfortable for me, and a real pleasure to drive. It's mostly a weekender, but I sneak a few weekday drives out of her too. The only gripe I have is the hardtop squeaks and creaks quite a bit as the body flexes, but you just expect that in a removable hardtop. In the summer with the soft-top only, it's wonderful.

Fell in love with the looks of the retro bird in 2001 and had to have one. Ordered the black with full red interior, chrome wheels. Skipped buying the hard top as this is a fair weather ride and didn't want to mess with the top. Seven years later still marvel at the lines and how well the designers kept faithful to the old while wrapping it around a throughly modern drivetrain and interior. The sound system is unbelievable for a stock unit. The build quality is what I would expect for a Lincoln which essentially is what this is. The exhaust tuning is just right with the rumble of a V8 but quiet on the highway. At times I wish the transmission was more responsive to driver input but I'v learned to live with it. All in all a terrific car. Average 20 mpg which is quite acceptable for a comfortable V8 roadster.

2002 Ford Thunderbird: The Best Of Both Worlds!

I drive my 2002, yellow, Deluxe model, T-Bird 100 miles a day. I can have the fun of driving a classic car with all the attention...but modern performance and reliability of a new car. Hence "The best of both worlds". Classic cars are fun to own... but suck to drive at times. This is the answer to that situtation. The car is a dream to drive! Just enough power and I get 23mpg with it. The only cons I have with this car is you CAN'T carry anything in it! The trunk barely holds my Fender Twin Reverb amp which is about the size of a large suitcase. My biggest gripe would be the heater/defroster and AC in the car. It's average. I constantly have to adjust it. I had to replace both temp. control mods in the car in 3 years. Of course having to store the hardtop in the winter is a pain too. But, if you are looking for a car that is a classic and want to drive the hell out of it and hand it down to your grandchildren....THIS IS IT!
Just remember...if you buy a new Mustang...it will be an OLD Mustang in a few years and tens of thousands of people will have the same car. If you own this style T-Bird....the body style is timeless! Everyone 50 years from now will remember Princess Diane as a beauitful Princess because she died young and all the photos of her are when she WAS young. Its the same with this T-Bird. This is the only body style of this car. Just like the Prowler...its a classic that will never age.

IT WAS THAT I EXPECTED FROM THE FORD THUNDERBIRD.
I LOVE THE RETRO LINE OF THIS MODEL. I OWN OTHER SEDAN AND SPORT CARS, LIKE THE XK8 JAGUAR, BMW 330i CONVERIBLE AND OTHERS, I BOUGHT THIS T'BIRD BECAUSE I LIKE THE LINE RETRO.

This is a retro of the 50's classic T-Bird with all the features of a modern car. It has a removable hard top, including the classic porthole windows. When you remove the hard top, you have an exciting convertible soft top for those fantastic days of weather in Southern California. The car is just fun!!! It is limited in seating, being a 2 seater, so don't plan on bringing the whole family. It is great for those "date nights" that are so often missing in our fast times. It is not a car for everyone, but if you have room in your garage for a "weekender", it is the car.

One sexy looking car, generates lots of smiles and positive attention. Fun to drive, although a bit bumpy because it's a light car with a short wheelbase and performance suspension. Unusually quite, unless you have loud pipes and mufflers put on it like I did. What a sound, reminds me of high school and my hot rod. The new retractable hardtops are the way to go, having a removable hardtop that you take off for the season is a pain, and takes storage room in my garage I don't have. Soft top works great and quick. Mine has the full color accented interior with the light blue trim, very attractive. One big problem is the seats are too high and the roofline above the door windows is far too low. Makes it very hard for 6-foot man to get in and out. I've heard many others complain of this, and the problem kept me from buying a new one in 2002. Last week I removed the driver power seat mechanism and bolted the seat to the floor 3" lower than before. Problem solved, and better visibility out the front and sides. Now there is three inches more headroom. WHY DIDN"T FORD ENGINEERING SOLVE THIS PROBLEM?
