2005 Ford Taurus

I love my 2005 Ford Taurus it get great gas mileage. I get 24-25 average thats what the average MPG says in the city on the highway it reads 30-32MPG. I have the 3.0 base V-6 and its a real performer and a work horse. Its easy to work on and maintain.

Decided to purchase this vehicle as I needed transportation to work. Found a great used one at a Suzuki dealership.

One of the big selling points for me was the space in the vehicle. I am a taller guy and I just can't fit comfortably into the smaller cars (Cavaliers, Mustangs, Miatas, etc.) Another great thing about the Taurus is the trunk space. I have been able to fit a significant amount of items in the trunk.

Gas mileage on this vehicle is average at best. I average somewhere around 17 MPG combined between city and highway driving. The Taurus does have some cool diagnostic/tracking features. There is a setting that will check your oil, tire pressure, engine coolant, etc. There is also a setting that tracks your MPG in real time.

Had some problems with the plastic interior door parts losing their adhesiveness and falling off. Kind of embarrassing and an eye sore. Also had some trouble with the rubber that goes around the windows starting to rot out.

Overall a good car for normal usage, but don't expect anything outstanding here.

Have had a Taurus before and enjoyed the ride and longevity of it. Almost 400,000 miles on it with one transmission we had to put in it and occasional ball bearings in the passenger side wheel. Did not want to have to put another transmission in a car I needed immediately. Owner let me withdraw from deal and I want to thank him.

car is sporty and reliable, also to mention good on gas for its size, this is my first ford sedan, i like it . it is a nice dependable car so far

Bought this car because it was a nice midsize car that I felt comfortable with my son driving. He just turned 16 and I like the crash safety record. The car has a nice stable feel on the road and has a sporty appearance without making a teenage boy feel like he has to go race the car. Great trunk space and gas economy is very good. Cannot rate the reliability yet since we just bought it a month ago.
