2000 Ford Taurus

It was cancelled. The car was taken back by the seller for complications with its performance. This transaction was cancelled. I would like to have it taken from my record as being won by me.

Enjoy the car. Great car for buying used - would not be first choice as a new buy. Good for the teenage drivers in the house.

I purchased this ford taurus but backed out of the deal because of the false mileage that the seller had on the web site, then he put in an unpaid strike against me what a rip off. Ebay refuse to take the unpaid strike against me back even when i proved that the mileage was wrong from there own auto check beware of this seller . I gave him negative feedback but he paid ebay to remove it why ebay .

Car was not "excellent" Ad intentionally stepped around flaws, dents, and abuse suffered. Soured against buying site unseen. I should have examined vehicle prior to bidding. I was TOO trusting.

I purchased my first Taurus last year 1998 with 70k miles. This has to be the best kept secret in luxury sedans. My taurus has leather seats and most of the gadgets and is very comfortable. The 3.0 Duratek is incredible for power and reliabilty. i owned Lexus ls300s during the 90s and this car is very close to equal. The 24 duratek is practically bullet proof. What a bargain -do people not know this car? I cannot beleive the prices these gems sell for on ebay. The Mecury Sable is a duplicate and just as good

Buyer was a treat to do business with. He agreed to an independent inspection, and offered to pay for half of the $400 minor repairs needed to make the vehicle A+.
The car was pristine and well cared for, I just hope this seller is selling another car the next time I need one.

I have around 204K miles and there is nothing wrong with the car at all. I mean at all! Loaded up with leather and moonroof it is actually almost sporty looking. A lot of quick pick up from stop, but going from 20 to 40 is a little weak, but going from 40 to 80 can happy with almost no effort and I was very surprised. Handles like a family car should- nothing too special but the ride is like my DTS Caddilac- nice and soft. Im not afraid to beat on this car even with the miles. For some reason all the windows creak when they reach the closed position and one of them on my 03 just started making the noise. Who cares. I just bought an 03 as well with 85K miles and am looking to break that one in. I get 22/23 MPG average, and I drive like an ass. Quick acceleration and fast speeds are my qualities/driving skills! I also have an 03 Explorer with just over 100K miles and it is just as fantastic as the Taurus. Had a Camry and Accord by the way- both of these vehicles are the reason for me going back to my Fords. After the 200K Taurus hit its mark I decided to buy an 04 Camry - a year old and it was certified by Toyota. Fully loaded sport model, I needed to fix the tranny at 45K and then replace it at 51K miles! Power window regulators went all the time... Pass side needed fixin 3X! Traded it in for Accord when it needed oil pan and gasket at 55K miles. Accord was much better but EVERYTHING in that car felt cheap! Even the leather had a weird feel. This was a new car. I had to bring it in a few times for nandom things and didnt get the gas mileage that everyone rages about. Just sold it for 15K and bought my 03 Taurus for 7K- and I got a warranty with it but im expecting not to use it at all! Oh well. Hope this helps! Feel free to ask questions!!!

The ride is very smooth and the interior is well designed and comfortable but the most important thing to me was reliability. The 2000-2005 Taurus frame and suspension with the 3.0L engine automatic drive train is the most reliable and dependable car on the road. You can take these cars up to 200,000 miles with minimal repair problems. They are superior to equivalent Honda and Toyota models but actually cost a lot less.
