1998 Ford Ranger

This is one AWESOME vehicle! The truck is 11 years old, has never needed a single major repair, (according to CARFAX report), and it is totally showroom. This truck runs and drives perfectly. It doesn't even have one single rattle! It rides like a Cadilac, handles like a Dodge Viper, and performs like an $80,000 Beamer!!! Forget Hondas and Toyotas, This truck exudes pure quality, and superb craftsmanship!

The standard seats are tremendously comfortable. I have two herniated slipped discs, and drove it from Southern Florida, (where I bought it), back to my home in NJ, in three days with no back pain at all!

This particular truck only has 55,000 miles on it, but, with the obvious quality and engineering in this thing, I have every confidence it's good for another 11 years and at least another 150,000 miles with no problems.

In short, I highly reccomend these Rangers, and their brothers, the Mazda B2500s as the best all around vehicle out there today. PLUS, you can buy them for half what a truck like this is worth!

I bought this truck to become a flagship for my new custom automotive company. It has custom work already done to it that is ok. I already had plans to restore the entire truck and customize it from head to toe. It's a good starting point for me. When I'm done I will petition certain magazine's to try to get my name out there. So that why I listed most ratings as Average. It's an average truck although I rated the quality and Craftmanship low because someone that did the custom work cut a lot of corners in areas that needed extra attention. I will give it that attention now. Thanks EBAY for making this transaction possible.

great on gas miles per gallon ,nice looking truck and fun to drive, has all the options of a luxury car would recomend to anyone looking fora small truck

I buy this Ford Ranger because I just to have one and they are pretty good on gas and very relaible and this one call my attention and am happy with it.

This was my 4th Ranger and my second 98 model. My first 3 went over 250,000 miles and were running great when I sold them. So far I've never done much more that routine maintenance and replacement of normal wear parts. They are excellent, tough little trucks. The 4.0L pushrod engine has a lot of torque and is very reliable. The 98's got torsion bar front ends and rack and pinion steering finally, which makes them drive a lot better and tighter. Fit and finish are good. The stock CD player has always sounded good enough for me, and better than a lot of other OEM sound systems I've heard. Drives nice, is fairly comfortable on long trips.
My only gripe is the gas mileage. Small engine F150's get the kind of mileage I get. But I don't need or want a big truck, so the Ranger fits the bill for me.
