What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

Was described as nice car but when i got there car was in bad shape. Seller said all it needed was a paint job but that wasn't true. Dash was cracked in three places,no radio, wires were hanging out of dash,no speakers, wires were hanging out.The int was described as gray but the front seats were red and the back were gray floor was black. The two back windows were both off track and wouldn't go up or down and the passeger side was down a lil and wouldn't go back up the middle of the steering wheel was missing so it had no horn. The outside was just as bad the left finder and left front edge of hood looked like someone had bumped into something it was bent. The ground effect kit was comin loose in places and molding on doors and front finders was comin off.I asked could i drive it and he said he would take me for a ride in it but i never got to drive it.When we got onto to the rode the car vibrated really bad at 40 to 60 and also when u slow down on the way back he tryed to spin a tire and i heard a poppin noise in the rearend. And all of this is after i drove seven hours to see the car this is what i saw.So this describes why i didn't buy this car. THANKS, TIM

I decided to buy this car because I am interested in learning how cars work. These cars have huge aftermarket support and are rather simple cars. They are the first generation of cars with on-board computers which is nice for the (marginally better) fuel economy, better performance, and on-board diagnostics; however, the computer is not so integrated that it reports needed service if you accidentally foul up your power window wiring or upgrade your air filter. It's really just a basic go-fast car that needs minimal but constant work to maintain. Their cheap too. Mine's got about 74,000 miles, got it for $3,550 and runs strong but do expect to have to fix things.

They are also incredibly fast. Approximately 3000 lbs w/ 300 ft-lbs of torque and 225 hp. Just be careful driving in the rain. They have horrible traction but suspension kits ranging from a few hundred to thousands of dollars are readily available.

Personally, I love this car. It's an American muscle car with all its glories and faults.

The car stalled in the middle of the road while driving it, not a safe car to be driving! it was smoking from the engine compartment, and lots of smoke came into the drivers compartment! also the shifters cable or linkage was not working properly, overall the car looked really nice but drove like a nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The two mustang 5.0's I had were very reliable and had a strong engine and good automatic transmission. The 5speed clutch quadrant piece is plastic and it broke, but I replaced it with an aluminum one. The door handles are a little cheap and often break. Interior is cheaply made as well with alot of plastic pieces, but it's pretty rugged. The car is easy to work on, and have alot of aftermarket companies that make a world of parts for these vehicles. Enjoy!

There are very few people that "Do Not Like Mustangs" Simply stated! The Mustang image was created decades ago and it has never lost it's appeal. Some model years are more applealing than others, depending on who you talk to, but the image has always remainded. It has "No Buyer Age Barrier". People who love cars almost always have a positive reaction to these compact vehicles. Mustang makes a statement of "Fun--Rebel--Sporty--Sexy--Muscle--Excitement". Whether your 15 years old and dream of owning one when you can finally drive, or if your 65 and Retired and just want "Cut Loose from the Ho Hum life"--it offers or can add a little "Pazzazz" to your life. Recently we purchased a Black 1988 Mustang Convertible with red interior, and even before I got it home, I had a number of people straining to get a view of the car while at the stop light. Yes, even a ZO6 Corvette Owner! Appreciation is in the eye of the beholder and as with anything else in life, everyone has their own opinion of exactly what is perfect and what they themselves prefer. There are only a handful of car names that stand out in most peoples minds, that are readily recognized and "Mustang" is one of them. The name itself---speaks for itself. Not everyone knows what an "Fairlane" is, but almost everyone knows what a Mustang is. So, you form your own opinion , because you have that right. There is a HUGE Market for the Mustang whether it a 1968----a 1988----or a 2008. The "Legacy" lives on.

Having owned a couple mustangs, I can say without a doubt that the 1987-1993 mustangs are one of the best "bang for your buck" cars out there. There are many aftermarket companies that make parts for these cars, with parts ranging from suspension, to engine, to body components. There are plenty of ways to customize your mustang. 1988 was basically a carryover from the 1987 mustang, the only differences worth noting are a midyear change of the convertible mirrors, and 88 being the final year of t-tops being available.
