What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

1986 Ford Mustang: Nice car

Overall, this is a very nice car considering that is 24 model years old. The interior needs some cleaning and some minor repairs. The exterior is very nice, again some minor items need to be attended to. The engine runs good, does not smoke. The transmission seems to shift fine. Other than the air conditioning, all of the power accessories are functional. The vehicle was represented accurately by the seller. I believe we will be well pleased with this Mustang GT.

1986 Ford Mustang: The great american pony!

What a car. Twenty two years old and still gets looks and respect at the stop light. With torque to spare it comfortably trots up to speed. No need for high revs unless you want to unleash the stallion waiting to trample the young guys in thier little toy cars. It is somewhat thirsty but still able to get 20 MPG. As you mount yourself in the leather saddle you find all the controls logicaly laid out. The brake and clutch are a little too close for my big feet but am getting used to it. The convertible gives the car a classy classic look to an otherwise common style found in the eighties. one hundred fifty thousand mile and fires up on the first try. Handles pretty good but not as good as cars being built today. Driving on country roads still just as fun if not more so as you do not have to go as fast too feel like you are driving. The fun factor is all there rear wheel drive with torque and weight to make it burn out and slide on comand but still smooth enough for when you take grandma to the hairdresser. If you want a reliable, easy to work on, fun car look very hard at a Mustang! Used they are great bargains that are hard to beat.

I believed the salesman and his words untill I got to Newark to pick up the vehicle and was blackmailed into giving a positive review before I get the car in my name ,by the Seller or Anti-Christ as I see it.He neglected to ,mention the the gas tank has a hole on the top part of it from a muffler system instalation which some yoyo performed and punctured it on the left side which was confirmed my Jiffy lube crew 1/2 hour after i picked up the car and topped off my gas tank ! The retard seller forgot to mention also that there was no spare time or rim .These I discovered as I was about to drive to Florida the same day a 1200 mile journey.
If I had my way this Anti-Chris should be banned for life from selling anything.

1986 Ford Mustang: Fox body style Mustangs are the best!

I'm a huge fan of the 1985-1993 Fox body style Ford Mustangs. When I was younger I had a 1985 black Ford Mustang GT and I always wanted to get another one. Four years ago I bought a 1993 Triple black Ford Mustang GT Convertible and I'm very satisfied with it. So, recently I decided to look for another Mustang. I want an 1985 or 1986 Ford Mustang GT. I looked for several months and I noticed either the cars where either really good or really bad. What makes it really tough is that some people put what they like on the Mustang and that necessarily didn't mean I liked it.

I decided to buy a 1986 Mustang GT from a guy in Michigan. I wasn't a huge fan of the paint job but I can change that. The engine appears to be very strong and the interior is good. It needs brakes and when I try to put the car in reverse it grinds. I've heard from other Mustang owners that this seems to happen a lot. Over all for the price I paid and buying it through EBAY I'm very satisfied.

Thanks, Mike

I bought an 86 Ford mustang powered by a 351w and 5spd tranny. The seller boast about it having a k&n air filter, CD player, and the speedometer even worked and car was so reliable her husband would drive car 100 miles a day to school without any problems. First problem, it does have a k&n but the breather says Chevrolet on the top. Second problem, it does have a cd player but it doesn’t work. Third problem, the speedometer doesn’t work! Forth problem, can’t even drive it around the block without worry of breaking down. Fifth problem, the man didn’t sign title the same as his printed name and tag office made us fix it before I could title car. The trip to get the car was fun. My wife and I made it a much-needed vacation for just the 2 of us. We stayed down there for several days and just relaxed. Then rented a car dolly and pulled it home. It was quite an adventure.

I am like many a Fan of the ford Mustang. Many different years and styles from the 1967 Mustang I bought 7 years ago, to the 1998 convertible mustang last year. They have personality, and this 1986 if no different, it has a personality of its own and soon will be customized to match.
Overall I am satisfied with this purchase knowing that with something used you get what you get. And you always find something negitive you didn't expect to find.
