What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

The seller (Matt Pons) should be ashamed of himself for even listing the 1968 Mustang convertible I bought from him on ebay. I don't know what my legal actions are at this point, or what actions ebay can take on my behalf, but I know why he wanted cash or a cashiers check up front before he released the car. I should have used pay pal or a credit card, then I would have had some kind of recourse.
My fault for not doing a personal inspection of the car, but people should not be allowed to sell junk on ebay. This cannot be restored and it is "not" a project car. It has been rat infested, there is no solid metal on the car, it left a trail of rust from Massachusetts to Utah, the delivery driver got a kick out of that.
The only monetary value of this car is the engine, convertible top motor and a few chrome pieces. No brakes on the car. Can't even get the wheels off to repair, they are rusted together. I'm very disappointed with the seller!!
Lubing and repair in the back yard will not be opportunities.
If Mr.Pons has any conscience at all, he will refund at least 1/2 of my money $6,766 plus $1,000 shipping = $3,800.
I don't know where he finds these cars, but they are not worth restoring. (he has another Mustang convertible listed right now, with the same verbage, he is looking for cash again. Listing #200099174492. He has excellent ratings for selling baseball cards, it looks as though he just started in the car business.
I am not rich, I can't put $40,000 to $50,000 into a piece of rusted out garbage, lubing will not fix these doors. Every piece of metal on this car has to be replaced. Shame on you Matt!! The car is not worth the $1,000 I paid to get it here. I got swindled big time, and it is time for this kind of selling to stop.

1968 Ford Mustang: Ebay neds to protect sellers against non paying bidders

I have experienced and seen to many times that someone will bid a car up and never intend to pay for it. Ebay is not cheap, the time invested and the money wasted. Ebay needs to take action against the bad bidders now! I've been on since 1998 and every year it gets worse. These people need to get arrested or if ebay won't take action give the information to the seller so they may take it into their own hands. Do I sound mad? YES I am. My sister has tried 2 times to sell her cadilac and both times the person never showed! She needed to sell to keep her home, well it's GONE! But ebay is richer for it! There are many stories like this out there and it just is not fair. EBAY won't you back up your policy on this? you know- this is a legally binding contract- b.s.

I've bought 10 cars on Ebay.

This one was the first time I was de-frauded. Ebay's 30 day policy is impossible to follow, when you have to wait for delivery and then once you drive it you realize the car was a piece of junk.
This ebay had 100% feedback, Why? because Ebay's policies prevent you from knowing the truth.

I was ripped off. The seller lied and ebay perpetuates it.

I purchased this vehicle to use for my business and thought it would help draw attention. The vehicle needs work but is 41 years old and has been taken care of well. The party that sold it was very helpful and went the extra nine yards to accommodate me, thanks again. it pays to do your homework and deal with honest people.

I have been waiting 30 years to get a Mustang, so when I finally got one, it was pretty exciting. This car is everything the seller told us it was. He did an amazing job restoring it and it looks amazing. He was very honest about everything with the car. I would definately buy from this person again. No complaints at all. I have nothing negative to say about this transaction at all.

Hey, it's a classic Ford Mustang, what's not to like.
I worked over a month to find this car, went through plenty of sellers and bid on many cars prior to working with the seller on this one.

i recommend contacting the seller during your bid process, give him/her your contact information, that's what i did and this seller contacted me after the bids had closed, letting me know the car had not sold and asked if i would like a shot at it, i was driving the car home 24 hours later...true story.

be patient when bidding for a car on EBay, use your head not your heart.

My son found this mustang and thought it was to be his dream car. Forunately we paid for the deposit thru Paypal. The next day we got a email from the email address on the car and found out he did not have a car for sale but someone had used his email id. Someone had tried to get someome to purchase this car directly thru him without using ebay or paypal. When something looks to good to be true, believe me it usually is. Forunately we used paypal and got out deposit back and was able to turn in the other persons id into ebay scams.

This car is a complete project and nothing like what the owner claimed it to be. He said in the auction it was a running, driving car,but wouldnt even start. The car transporter had to jump it to both load and unload it. Leaks trans fluid everywhere, and is full of bondo when the owner told me there was very little. NEVER buy a car unless you can see it in person.
