2006 Dodge Ram 2500

I happen to find this pickup on ebay and was watching it thinking that it was out of my price range I was willing to pay. The auction was buy it now or best offer, so on a whim I made an offer that I didn't think would ever be accepted. Upon returning home that evening, I found that they had accepted it much to my surprise. It was 1500 miles away from where we are and so we flew to Atlanta where the pickup was at and drove it home to Wyoming. Unfortunately, we had mechanical trouble on the way home with an electronic part that left us stranded in Tennessee for 4 days awaiting repairs. I don't think this reflects back on the seller in any way, it was just bad luck. We had another failure once it was home due to a broken fuel line which is very common on these Dodge Diesels. So while we have had bad luck mechanically, the truck is just about the nicest pickup on the road, and I am very pleased to be able to drive such a fine outfit that I could never have afforded without the good deals on ebay.

I purchased a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500, Laramie, 4x4, Quad Cab, Diesel. This is my first Dodge, and my first diesel. I have always been a Chevy guy. My father and grandfather had several Dodge trucks in the past. So, when it came time to get a truck with big pulling power, I started comparing. For overall power, performance, comfort, looks, and room in the cab, to me, this was the clear winner. I was looking for something the whole family (4kids) could go in, and still be used for what I needed. We have a 14' tandem dump trailer, and even when loaded, you can't even tell it is behind you. I have a gooseneck hitch in the bed, and am getting a fifth wheel installed. It had 71,000 on it when I bought it, and it is like a new one! It is solid, no rattles, and tire smoking power! We went from a plush Tahoe LT to this truck, and only gave up a couple of luxuries (sunroof, heated seats), which are available in this model, but are not in my truck. But, all the other luxuries are in this one, they are excellent, plus the power and gas mileage are much better (22.5 mpg). I have been converted to a Dodge (truck) guy! I love this truck, and would highly recommend one!

I loved everthing about this truck, but especially the sellers. They were the finest people that I've ever dealt with. They went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied with the deal before we left their business, May God ALways Bless Them!!!!!!!

I have been a truck guy for 25 years. I've had Ford and Chevys, but never a Dodge. I had been looking for a Diesel Engine truck as I eventually want to make biodiesel and run the truck on that. I love the truck's power as it is very fast and has a ton of power. It gets great gas mileage at right at 20 mpg on the road and 18 in the city. For a truck that will hold 6, that's 120 people miles per gallon. I have the Crew Cab and it is comfortable for the rear passengers. I have a 6'1" tall son who rides in the back regularly and says its comfortable.

What I don't like... not much. I bought it used, as I don't buy new vehicles. I guess the seats could be a tad more conforming and dense, but it not a bad ride.

I unfortunately believed everything I read and seen on Ebay ad about 2006 Dodge. Its not close to the awesome truck pictured and described on "Ebay." This Dodge has never been throughly detailed, inspected and ready for immediate delivery as stated in Ebay ad. Ebay ad also states we recondition and detail all vehicles prior to sale. Never Happened! I bought this from an offical Ebay power seller,"you can bid with confidence," "entire inventory is hand picked", "All components have been pretested prior to delivery" Unit has been to 3 dealers(auctions)and has only gone 4 miles when I recived it. Rearend housing is broken, leaks oil. Muffler is broken, left tow mirror broken 3 different ways, right mirror only 2 ways,transfer case won't stay in 4 wheeldrive,both left & right fog lights are broken, drivers seat vinyl patch 3" long on cloth seat,tires wouldn't pass an inspection, antifreeze leaks somewhere from right rear of engine, shift leaver very difficult to get out of park. Under hood just a filthy mess, unit was not serviced, oil or filters, fuel tank on empty,tailgate dented. windshield washer inoperative, right front brake dragging due to damaged rubber components, hole in headliner plus huge amounts of yellow cigarette smoke, left front inner fenders not attached properly.This is actually a wornout Texas oil field truck passed off on Ebay as a "Awesome" new truck trade in. From the title this truck was traded in 11-13-07 it took til 2-4-08 to find a sucker on Ebay to buy it. "Awesome"

if i knew these trucks were this great i would have bought one years ago.21/23mpg. over the road and 10/14 towing 6000 lb. trailer.do not even know trailer is behind me.ONE GREAT TRUCK
