What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

1972 Monte Carlo big block custom is one of the last bucket seat, console shifter, semi go fast chevys that can be brought at a reasonable price. The prices of Camaros,Chevelles, and Novas haven risen past first car prices for teenage kids. The Monte Carlo, while slightly larger, can still be bought and enjoyed by the first time driver. Its important to pass on the old chevy baton to the next generation. The Monte Carlo has bucket seats, tach in the dash, horseshoe shifter, big motor, disc brakes, and is capable of handling wide tires. The car can be worked on by father and son and will, in my estimation still go up in value. Go by and old chevy and enjoy it as your father did with you.

It is a 1972 Monte carlo, 26 years ago I had a 71, This one is a lot louder, a rumble to be exact, the ride is still nice, the car is still solid. I just purchased some Crager keystone classic on line for it. The inside of the vehicle is still intact, the leather is good, wipers stick a little bit, 305 instead of 350 that will probobly change in the near future. Still a few bugs to work out but overall I am pleased. Black on Black, still turns heads.

Back to the 70's.....

Great car, only problem ,which is very common to these cars, is rust. Interior is great, one slight rip in driver's side seat, all original down to the craiger wheels. Car sounds and runs great, plan on restoring to original state. (fixing rust, minor tear in seat, new top.)

This is my second hot rod, at this time, first is a '65 mustang coupe also all original and being restored.

I was looking for a good starting point for my Monte Carlo Restore / Mod project. I wanted a First Gen Monte and this one is exactly what the Dr ordered. Good straight frame, no rust clean paint. She starts, runs and drives well.
The transaction through ebay could not have been smoother.!!!
