2002 Chevrolet Corvette

They are my favorite autos and are a blast to drive. When I left to pick up the car it was a described and I have a great time driving it home.

Destined to be a classic, the 6 speed shifting the h/o 5.7 @ 405 hp, is rocking. I could ask for more from a stock vehicle.

I purchased this car from John at Prestige Auto in Raleigh, NC and he was great in dealing with. I flew into Raleigh and his dad picked me up, took me back to the dealership and had everything ready. I drove the car 840 miles that same day and it performed as great as I could ask for. I would recommend anyone looking at their website prior to purchasing a used car as their inventory is huge and the vehicles are immaculate.

The owner of this car listed it in the "No Reserve" section. It had a reserve price that was not even mentioned during the auction. It was advertised as having a "Clear Title". The title is in a bank with a lien on it and unavailable at time of sale even if a deal could have been reached. My bid was the highest at $12055. I made the owner an offer of $12800. He said he would accept that offer but he would have to pay the loan and send the title to me later. I agreed to that. But after driving 479 miles to view and test drive the car I discovered other problems with the car that he did not mention. I then asked him if his price was firm and he said "Yes". I told him I did not want the car due to the other problems. This is the 4th corvette that I have won the bid on. Each and every time I have arrived to take delivery I find other things that are wrong with the car that was not mentioned. The other 3 times I was able to get the owner to lower the price to help cover the cost of the additional repairs. This time the owner would not budge on his price. So far I have had 4 deals and have been lied to 4 times.

I got rid of a six speed 1999 hardtop that I bought in 2001 because of multiple visits to the dealer to fix problems with the differential, without success. Traded it in on a 2002 Z06 that I traded in a year later. The reason...Corvettes are terrible cars in the rain. Their light weight coupled with the wide tires conspire to cause hydroplaning. Very squirrely in the rain.

The people were truthful and honest. I drove 1500 miles to get the corvette and I would do it again! These people are honest and highly recommended! They even serviced the car for me! I will tell all my motorhead friends of this place!

The corvette C5 Z06 is great! Had a minor problem, but was far better than I had expected. Just do your home work. Take your time!

This car is a whole different level of performance than most people are used to...It accelerates, corners, and stops like few cars I have ever driven. Put your spare bucks together and get one!!! You won't regret it.
