Reasons to buy an 01 ZO6: Right now 01 Corvette ZO6's are an excellent buy. Its actually a great time to purchase any Corvette; prices are down by more than 25% since the summer of 2008. But 01's are specifically an excellent buy. Many over look the 01 and pay a premium for an 02-04 because the LS6 engine output is raised from 385HP to 405HP. But coming from someone who has driven more than a few 01-04 ZO6 Corvettes, the differences between the 01 and the 02-04 are so minute, its hardly worth the added cost associated with the later years. 01's are also a great deal because although they share most of the attributes associated with the rest of the ZO6's they are just a few months short of falling of the financing chart. Most of the banks I looked into when financing this vehicle told me that after 09, this model would be too old to qualify for dealer or personal financing. This is a fantastic arguing point to help you chisle down the price of the vehicle. All the ZO6's are an awesome ride. Comfortable on long drives, yet, handle like they are on rails when you want to drive spiritedly. I find the paint on the C5 Corvettes to be of a better quality, than the C6 even, but that is just my opinion. Overall I highly recommended this vehicle or any other year and or generation of Corvette.

This 2001 Corvette was practically new, in showroom condition, with only a little over 9,000 miles on it. All original equipment and spotless throughout. The previous owner kept detailed records and meticulous care of the vehicle. I got a great deal on a great car!

I bought the car from a use car dealer over a month ago and am completely satisfied. The car is in mint condition and is everything that I expected. Driving over 600 miles home, I had time to test the performance and was impressed. The ride for a sports cars was excellent. I am 6ft 2in and had ample room. The car got 31.2 mpg until road construction brought traffic to a stop and go situation. For the 600 mile trip home the average mpg according to the gauge was 29.8.
So far everything has performed exactly the way it was designed to perform and I am one happy corvette owner!

I bought my Vette in Florida and drove all the way to Canada. Just great!!The Corvette is a sports car so don't expect the comfort of a Cadillac. Very good gas milage for a 350 horse motor. This car is a real head turner. A sports car you'll love. Lots of power, a very nice and sexy body,easy to fix when and if a problem shows up. A very good option is the head up display. You should install spot mirrors. If you never had driven this car go ahead and do it. Compare with other brands. I could bet you'll buy a Corvette. Attention: The C5 has no spare tire!!!!!! It comes with special and expensive tires which run flat for a while. If you replace the tires you have to buy the same ones or when on the road make sure you have a tire inflation kit and a little compressor on board or get a spare tire on the junk yard.

As a senior citizen I find it a little difficult to enter & exit this vehicles
seating position. I would say, however, that I expected that quirk because after all, this is a sports car. Over all I believe General Motors Corporation strives to improve their vehicles quality by employing continous upgrades. e.g. verses my previously owned 1971 Corvette.
