What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

1990 Chevrolet Corvette: 1990 Corvette purchase review
02/02/09

I bought the vehicle because it has been a dream of my wife to own a Corvette. It is a 1990, so I knew there might be some issues, but I watched what the ad said, did a DMV check, and personally talked to the seller. The seller was very cooperative and helpful in getting the car, but there were several issues that were not disclosed that would have caused me to continue to shop. The ad said one seat bad (true) runs great (true) new paint (true, though not the quality job as stated)new top (true but weatherstip is bad and cold air blows in). When I talked to seller, he told me of only three problems he knew of. Radio had a bad amp, tach inop, and spark advance module needed replaced. When I picked up the car I found the digital guages (speed, odo, fuel) were almost impossible to read. The radio does not come on nor does the antenna raise up. The gears on the drivers power seat slip and you cannot be sitting in the seat to move it. The passenger power seat is inop. The carpet is very faded and worn. I had flown to Florida to pick up the car, (one way for my wife and I) so I followed through. On the way home, at 44 degrees outside I found that the heater does not work. The fan does but no heat comes out of the vents, just cold air. The next thing I found was that the horn does not work. When I got to the motel to spend the night part way back, I set the parking brake, only to find out that it would not release until I played with it for about ten minutes. While watching the fuel guage (when possible to see it) and the trip meter, the range indicator said I had 295 miles left, which I questioned in my mind, and the fuel guage said 1/2 tank left. It started to spit and sputter. Luckily I was next to a gas station which I pulled into. After refueling, I had no problems with that. That is when I found that the fuel guage was very inaccurate. This was in addition to the original four problems stated of radio amp bad, tach bad, passenger seat cusion bad, and spark advance module bad. Had I know of all these other problems, some minor, and some that could be major, I would not have bought the car. I will not leave bad feedback, because the ad said "as is" but I was disappointed that even when talking to the seller, these things were not disclosed. Therefore, I was unhappy with the sale.

Car was misrepresented, had numerous problems that were not disclosed by seller. I would not recomend this car or this seller to anyone! When I went to pick up the car the seller kept me waiting three hours for the car. It was almost dark when the car showed up. He said it was being detailed. Car was not detailed and was not clean. Using a flashlight I inspected the car. I found many problems with the car. I called seller prior to bidding and he assured me every worked and car needed nothing. Car was totally misrepresented. Seller charged me $275.00 for not completing transaction. I would have reported him to ebay but I do not know how to do so. Ebay does not make it easy to place complaints. I would suggest not buying from this seller unless U can inspect the car first.

This Corvette ZR 1 is that which a luxury perfomance sports car should be. Powerful, fast, great handler and a good feeling of quality. If GM and other US manufacturers put as much effort and quality design into other Ameican cars there would be no need to turn to Asia or Europe to buy a reliable automobile. To US manfacturers, "Instead of just marketing quality, actually build quality, like this Corvette.

Nice sleek appearance, very good steering. Comparatively good mileage. A fun car and easy to drive. Especially on the highway. Very comfortable once your inside. A little difficult to get in and out, but once your in you don't want to get out. They do ride stiff so be prepared. Prices on these are relatively cheap - so buy the best you can- specially the body and paint work. Interior items can be replace a little bit at a time and at a more modest expenditure output.

This was an honest straight forward transaction just under $10,000. I felt comfortable enough with the conversation to fly from FL to MI at my own expense after the seller said that I would not be dissappointed with the car.

I've now had the Corvette for two months and love the car and greatly appreciate the above board communicaitons with the seller and his parents.

I bought a 1990 convertible corvette about 6 weeks ago. This model has a 6 speed manual transmission and a removable hard top. I really enjoy the smooth shift of the factory transmission and the handle ability. About the only thing i don't care much for is the 4th generation (c-4) corvette is a bit harsh riding but a small sacrifice for the pure enjoyment of horse power combined with handle ability.

Bought the car knowing there wasn't an engine and the car had caught on fire. Needed the vehicle for parts so this isn't a problem. Very happy with the purchase and the transaction.

I bought this Vette because I always wanted one...I never had the extra cash until now at 44 years of age. I wanted blue. I also got a great deal at $5950.00 It cost $700 to ship from Nevada to Georgia. The man who was selling had great feedback and spoke to me many times on the phone. The Vette is a fun car. There is nothing I do not like about the Vette. I love everything about it. I'm even getting better gas mileage than my 2005 PT Cruiser.

1990 Chevrolet Corvette: Love my '90 Vette Convertible

I made my Ebay purchase of a '90 Corvette convertible just a month ago. So far I have been very happy with the car....lots of fun to drive...appears to have well cared for in it's past life. I found the sellers to have represented the car accurately and fairly; no surprises. Only problem might be the lack of storage space inside a Vette convertible but who cares! I like the coupes but prefer the convertibles. They are not for everyone but if you have always wanted a Vette, consider a C4 version.....still a cool car at an affordable price.
