I bought the vehicle because it has been a dream of my wife to own a Corvette. It is a 1990, so I knew there might be some issues, but I watched what the ad said, did a DMV check, and personally talked to the seller. The seller was very cooperative and helpful in getting the car, but there were several issues that were not disclosed that would have caused me to continue to shop. The ad said one seat bad (true) runs great (true) new paint (true, though not the quality job as stated)new top (true but weatherstip is bad and cold air blows in). When I talked to seller, he told me of only three problems he knew of. Radio had a bad amp, tach inop, and spark advance module needed replaced. When I picked up the car I found the digital guages (speed, odo, fuel) were almost impossible to read. The radio does not come on nor does the antenna raise up. The gears on the drivers power seat slip and you cannot be sitting in the seat to move it. The passenger power seat is inop. The carpet is very faded and worn. I had flown to Florida to pick up the car, (one way for my wife and I) so I followed through. On the way home, at 44 degrees outside I found that the heater does not work. The fan does but no heat comes out of the vents, just cold air. The next thing I found was that the horn does not work. When I got to the motel to spend the night part way back, I set the parking brake, only to find out that it would not release until I played with it for about ten minutes. While watching the fuel guage (when possible to see it) and the trip meter, the range indicator said I had 295 miles left, which I questioned in my mind, and the fuel guage said 1/2 tank left. It started to spit and sputter. Luckily I was next to a gas station which I pulled into. After refueling, I had no problems with that. That is when I found that the fuel guage was very inaccurate. This was in addition to the original four problems stated of radio amp bad, tach bad, passenger seat cusion bad, and spark advance module bad. Had I know of all these other problems, some minor, and some that could be major, I would not have bought the car. I will not leave bad feedback, because the ad said "as is" but I was disappointed that even when talking to the seller, these things were not disclosed. Therefore, I was unhappy with the sale.
