What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

The 1977 Corvette is one of my favorite cars. As an owner of several vettes from over the years, I pick the 77 as a great overall car that is fun to drive. It handles well and rides nicely with a good amount of performance. Also I find this car to be very reliable. One small gripe I have about the car is the turn signal/wiper-washer/high beam switch. The 77 is the first year for this all in one switch. The original lever that goes into the steering column that connects to this switch is weak. I have broken 2 of these levers while putting the high beams on. After having to replace these 2 factory original levers, I purchase an aftermarket lever that seems to work just fine.
Overall, I would recommend the 77 corvette to anyone who wants a fun car to drive.
And please remember, keep the wave alive!

1977 Chevrolet Corvette: Item VERY BADLY misrepresented and unsafe to drive.

I did not purchase this vehicle. The corvette was VERY misrepresented in the items description in a conversation with the seller. This vehicle had numerous mechanical, cosmetic, and warranty issues that the seller did not disclose.

I have spoken with a working mechanic of over 40 years who is a Minnesota state certified department of transportation inspector about this car. The item was described as "in great running order, runs wonderfully, and it is in working order to go down the road." After inspecting the corvette, I came to realize the car was far from the condition mentioned by the seller.

This vehicle had many mechanical problems, some of which made the car unsafe for road travel. The transmission in the car whined, the wall of the front driver tire was busted, the vehicle suspension was worn-out causing the car to sag on the driver's side, and the windows in the car did not close. The emergency break, heating system, and air-conditioning were inoperable as well. The hood did not close properly and many of the gauges on the dash were not in working order either.

There were also numerous cosmetic issues with this vehicle. Again, the seller did not mention any of these issues in the description even though ebay's listing instructions require full disclosure of an item's true condition. The car had paint falling off the body in several locations exposing the bare fiberglass underneath. The luggage rack was rusty and was missing parts. One of the t-tops was missing an inside panel and the other t-top had a panel which kept falling which dropped down and rested on the driver's head. The passenger visor was broken, which led to an obstruction of the driver's visibility. The door panels were loose, the dash was cracked, and the carpet was very wore and stained.

Besides the mechanical and cosmetic issues with the car, the seller touted a new engine, which I found out had no factory warranty. She had no paper work, receipt, or proof of any kind that the engine had warranty, which means this statement is false, and there is no warranty on the motor. Not to mention, the engine was not fully installed and she offered me a box of parts so I could have someone finish the work for me.

I know I am not the only buyer who has refused to complete the transaction after see the car in person. I was contacted by pumpkinseed338 who also bid on and won this car in an auction (270174961322) prior to the seller inappropriately relisting it again. pumpkinseed338 also felt this car was so badly misrepresented, that he backed out of the transaction as well.

I calculate this vehicle needs a minimum of $4000 worth of repairs JUST to bring it up to the condition promised by the seller. When I went to complete the transaction at the seller's home, I came with check in hand. If this vehicle was even close to the description given by the seller, I would have been more then willing to pay for the car, but due to the numerous mechanical, cosmetic, and warranty issues this car has, I refused to complete the transaction. If requested, I can provide many pictures depicting these issues.

I hope this seller does not try to take advantage of ebay as a selling mechanism in an attempt to rip off another honest ebay user.

The 1977 Corvette was the last year of the verticle rear window model. This body was built from 68 through 77. They were reliabe vehicles and can be purchased well under the price of earlier Corvettes. Not many were ordered with the optional upgrade engine, the L82 with 210 horsepower. Fewer had the 4-speed transmission. This car is in nice condition and and has both the L82 engine and 4-speed transmission. It is sure appreciate in value, and at the same time can be used for transportation. There are not many cars today that you can drive has it goes up in value.

Always liked all Corvettes, especially 53-82. Price was reasonable for a vehicle that will only appreciate in the long run. Seats have always been a weak point in Corvettes until 1979(comfort and life expectancy). That's why Comfort is marked down. The 1977 Corvette is another oddball(transition)year. There are several components are only in the 1977. It makes finding correct parts a challenge. Kinda like the pound pup with one blue eye and one brown eye, one ear up, one ear down. Never gonna be the prettist, faster, and may mark his spot from to time, but he's always happy to see you...

The sale of this vehicle fell thru, due to damage the Vehicle sustaned from vandales on the car lot of the seller. The seller backed out of the sale and returned my money. Very happy he did, he was honest and very helpful. the Car was keyed deeply into the fiberglass. Which actually ruined the value of the car.

The 77 Vette is a fun car to drive. I actually had been bidding on Trans Am's from the 70's and kept being outbid so switched over to see some Vettes At the request of my 15 year old daughter, she loves the vettes from the 70's. We found one that was in my starting price range with no bids and 6 days left. So I safely placed the first minimum bid,for fun,and 6 days later was the proud owner of a 1977 Corvette. It was located about 6 hours from where I lived so after asking if it could make the trip, I went and drove it back. It made it back with no problems.I like the fact that you can get just about any part you need for this 30 year old car. I have already bought many items right here on E-BAY, at a lower price.

I bought this vehicle as it was what I always wanted since I have been driving. The car is very sporty and gets a lot of looks. I have some minor work to do to it, but most of all it is a fun car to drive. I just can
't wait to get behind the wheel again and drive. "Yes it is a Corvette"

awesome car ,running out really good. steering and comfort is average but i didnt buy the car for this reasons. 350 motor with many extras but a real pain when it comes to work on it. But i guess its worth all of the bad things, like running down main street with eyes look at you, worth it all.
