What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

The car was sold as original and not restored. I explained to the seller that I wanted a car that I could drive and depend on. He promised me it was ready to roll, not a show car but a really nice original driver. That is exactly what I wanted, something I could take out and have some fun without worrying about every stone in the road. When I won the car, the seller took it to a vette specialist and said I want you to go over the car,I promised her this car would not need anything. Well it did need a few things, it had been sitting for some time, but the seller wanted to keep his promise and he put $3,000 in the car after the sale! When the car arrived, it really looked sharp, but looks can be deceiving. There was no deception. The car had a couple of very small repairs to the body, not the best, but so small not worth wrecking the paint over. The interior, as they say in the antique business, has a wonderful patina. Then there’s the way it runs, like it just came out the of the showroom, really tight and all the power you could ever ask for. Don’t get me wrong, it’s just about 40 years old and has a few issues, but a 40 who doesn’t. All I can say is I am one proud owner of this beautiful classic.

1970 Chevrolet Corvette: 1970 Corvette needs work

Car is good as a project. Paint is not "new", car is not "fully restored" Headlights doors do not work, wiper door does not work, heater does not work, vents are broken. Interior is worn. Cluch needs repair, engine does not run smoothly. Hard to start and keep running. Broke down twice, but I only drove it twice.

Purchase was based on car being "fully restored" in ad. Not a bad car if purchased as a project.

Update - Found out later that this car was sold to someone else on ebay who stated they put over $4000 into the car and found that it had been wrecked prior.

I felt obligated to write this review in defense of the 1970 Corvette, because the only other review of this car seems to address transactional problems with an eBay seller, rather than the car itself. If you want the muscle car of muscle cars--the 1970 454 390hp is for you! This is the biggest engine Chevrolet ever put into a Corvette and when you drive it, you know that's a fact! The car is smooth as silk, and barring any damage, it's one of the tightest cars you'll ever drive; not a rattle or shake at any speed. But remember, ye children of the power steering generation, these Corvettes have none--and if you drive a 1970 for a long enough time, you'll be reminded why they invented it! Some of the big blocks have an A/C option. I'd high recommend against it; it puts too much drag on the engine. And after all, power is a good part of the reason why you buy a big block in the first place. This car has power to spare! It also has more torque than any other Corvette (at least in the first three generations--I don't know about later models). Mine gives 8-12mpg. Even with the high price of gas, this Corvette is worth every penny.

I think this will be the last car I buy on ebay. The sellers never tell the truth. I gave $11200.00 for this car and it is worth around $7000.00. I asked the owner several questions before buying and was lied to. The car was in an accident and the frame is still bent. Some one did a very poor repair, throw it together and screw somebody. Photos make a car look very good. The seller told me I could drive it the way it is and it needed no work. I am ashamed to back it out of my garage. It will cost me $15000.00 to make it nice. I have already spent $4000.00 on parts. I don't believe in giving someone a bad rating because they just do it back to you and ruin your rating and you lose. The ratings above do not give justice to the model of the car. It's not the cars fault some one destroyed it. I guess you could say I'm an unhappy ebay buyer.
