What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

1968 Chevrolet Camaro: purchaing a vehicle on e-bay

lets start with why I decided to buy a $37,500.00 car from E-Bay. The E-Bay ad read "frame off restoration, Runs and drives flawlessly",with an endless list of new parts listed in the ad stating everything has been replaced or completely gone through to make this car better then new. GREAT!! I spoke to the seller numerous times on the phone and through E-Mail and he assured me that the car was exactly as it was advertised. What did I DISLIKE about the purchase. The car is a nothing as it was adverties to be. It is in need of thousands of dollars worth of repairs, such as the seals in the engine, transmission and rear are lealking oil. Power stearing unit leaking, antifreeze leaking. There is rust bubbling up through the paint and to much more to list here. I don't understand why E-bay will allow such a gross misrepresentaion of a product (in this case a car) on E-Bay with no recourse for the buyer. I did open a dispute the day the car arrived (1 month after purchase) After a number of E-Mails back & fourth with the seller his last reply to me was "you have buyers remorse and theres nothing he will do. I then turned the dispute over to E-Bay and the next day I saw "case closed" I still don't understand why they closed this case.I wish there was something I can tell you about what I liked about the purchase but I have nothing.

I had a 375 and it ran the same way. Problematic. I donkey had more comfort but it was fast.

No power anything. I drove a friends 6 cyl with ps and pb and that thing drove great.

Back in the 60's everyone wanted a muscle car. Now everybody is looking for them again thanks to the new venues of the internet auctions these cars have now gone through the roof. The avg 1000 RS is going for 15 grand from just 10 years ago.

Back in the early 80's these cars were 200 to 1000 bucks.

Basicallly it's a 1968 car, it does brake, accelerate, handle, ride and perform well (compared to car's of it's era.....but more importantly you can't deny the classic styling of a 60's musclecar. You can't really expect it to perform to modern day standards. If you are a potential buyer of a 60's musclecar, preapare to ride in style but also be prepared to give up some ammenties. No cup holders or flat-screen monitors here (thank goodnes)

It is a 1968 and is an awesome car. The seller was very honest about the car and he gave me the impression of being honest. He was more than honest and gave the car away. This is the best camaro I have ever owned and this is my 5th 60's camaro. Way to go and a good find.

1968 Chevrolet Camaro: 1968 Camaro Bad seller Experience

I bought this camaro from ebay user ( fatpaulie 254 ). The car was not as described. The photo's of the car showed a prestine looking vehicle. In the photo it showed a glove box installed in the car, when I got the car there was nothing but a hole were the glove box would have been. The description of the car said all light and guages are in working order. No Guages worked at all, and the only lights that came on were some of the interior lights, Not even the headlights came on. The windshield was cracked, the tires were missing lug nuts. The carburator was bad, had to be totally replaced. Even the transmission was bad and has to be completly replaced. None of these were listed in the description, on the contrary the seller said that all of these were working fine. The seller listed above will not even answer my e-mails. This seller is a rip off artist and I strongly recommend to anyone how is looking for cars on e-bay not to use this seller.

Sincerly

Camaros are the new Corvette. We all want to relive the good old days. If you intend to purchase one of these cars understand what you are getting into! If you are bidding on one inspect it or have it inspected! These are 40 year old cars and you need to know what you are getting into! I won a car and before picking up the stories began. I stress if you are not mechanically inclined or have the time or extra money to make one of these cars right, spend the extra money at get a completed car. If you need help there are other websites to help you.

The camaro is as nice as the pictures and description. I am very pleases that the camaro is original in just about all respects. The body is in great shape . A few problems needed to be corrected, mainly due to age, such as brake hoses and a cable.

This vehicle never existed. The seller wanted a substantial deposit, and wanted us to "pick the car up at the shipping company". Buyers beware, there are many good eBaymotors sellers but there also many bad sellers. Do your research before making any monetary transaction. Good Luck & Happy Bidding!

1968 Chevrolet Camaro: A 1968 Camaro for a great price!

Less than month ago I bought a 1968 Camaro. It caught my eye because it had everything there and the body was in really good shape for that year. The car also had a great Buy It Now price. It was cheaper than what I have seen for the condition of the car. When I received the car, I was very happy. There was little rust on the car and it was just what I wanted. Overall, I am very happy with the car.
