What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

I live in NY and recently was the high bidder on a 1998 Chevy Blazer from a NY dealer. Within our state, a dealer can not sell a vehicle to a resident without a safety inspection unless it is wholesaled to another dealer or it has a salvage title. Needless to say, after the auction, the NY dealer informed me that it failed safety inspection and it needed a $350 wheel bearing (part only) and an oil cooling line replaced for a total cost of $800 to $1000. When I showed hesitation to the initial cost, this idiot suggested that maybe the cost could be reduced if a used wheel bearing was used. The interesting thing about these items is neither one of them issues are inspectable items so the dealer was feeding me a line of sh*t about a mile wide. Adding to the bullsh*t, on eBay itself, I found the exact wheel bearing for this vehicle that I could get delivered for $82 and forwarded the eBay item number to this crook. After my insistence that my deposit be returned, this moron had the nerve to call me later with good news - he got it down to $650. I am not new to eBay and I have bought around 10 vehicles on eBay and I am more than capable of doing these types of repairs myself. Keep in mind, neither one of these defects was disclosed in the auction, he did not list he won't sell to a NY resident, are inspectable, and the true cost of repair would be around $100 if I did the labor myself. I am fully aware if I lived just over the border that the vehicle would not have to be inspected and any repairs would be my responsibility. I always adjust my bidding accordingly. Any reputable dealer within NY knows the law and I could not imagine anyone being dumb enough to buy his line of crap and playing him more than the auction price. Buyer beware and always arm yourself with as much information as possible. Know your state's law and use it to your advantage to avoid crooks from taking advantage of you.

This is the worst vehicle I have ever owned. hmmm.... let me list the items that don't work. Windshield Wipers went out around 70,000 miles, Transmission died at 90,000 miles, 4X4 transfer case motor is inop. Cooling system issues, engine is blowing antifreeze into the oil (intake manifold gasket, apparently a known problem for this engine), Fuel Pump went out, and you have to drop the tank and buy a whole pump/sender assembly to fix it, seat recliner latches break off, wheel bearings and ball joints suck and have been replaced 3 times. too much to list, I have kept up with maintenance and mostly drove the vehicle on the highway. I bought it used with 39,000 miles and now have 153,000 miles on it. I will never.... I repeat never buy another GM SUV again due to this vehicle. The only good this about the vehicle is the comfortable leather heated seats......thats about it. Oh Yea, The gas mileage is terrible too. Thanks for a quality product GM...I think I'll go with FORD next time.

Bought the Blazer through Chevy Dealer. It only had 66,000 miles on it 4 years ago. It has 128,000 on it now. Haven't really done anything major to it. (Knock on wood)!!! I have been looking for a second Blazer, same year and everything.
The head leaks , has been, but not where it is doing any damage. Just a nucence. I drove it to work, shopping, etc.
I like it. The only problem now is the room inside. I have a son that is over 6'4", and just turned 15. A daughter that is 12, and is getting taller. She has to sit in the back and we are all out of leg room. I need another vehicle that has leg room with a vortec like my blazer. I get 26 miles per gallon on open interstate doing 80 with the cruse control.
I hate to loose that being a single mom with a vehicle loan and mortgage. Thanks
