2000 BMW 3-Series

I had always admired the cute little BMW 3 series while driving down the road in my 1996 Volvo 960 tank of a car, but couldn't bring myself to spend the tens of thousands of dollars it would cost to get one new. After a little research, I decided to buy one used from eBay. In October of last year I bought a steel blue, 4 door, 323i with a grey leather interior and tiptronic transmission from a seller in Dallas. I drove up from Austin to pick it up. The car had approximately 64,000 miles on it and was in fantastic shape.

I've been driving the car for almost exactly a year now and its been great.
The interior is holding up fantastically. All buttons, gadgets, power windows, locks, and a/c are working perfectly. Its been really fun to drive, easy to maintain and easy to park for those of us who are parking challenged. Its comfortable on long drives. One complaint is that I wish the glove box was a little bigger to hold my cd's, but all in all, small price to pay.

I would definitely reccomend this car to someone who was looking for a cute, comfortable, luxury car without having to pay luxury car price.

Just bought the vehicle for my 17 yr. old son going off to college. Wanted something that was dependable, had LOTS of safety features, and, of course, good for his image. Car has 97,000 miles on it, sports package, dynamic stability control (DCS) and premium package. Bought it on E-bay from great seller at unbelievable price. Picked it up in Chicago - sleet and rain. Drove it approx. 300 miles in thunderstorms, HIGH winds, more sleet and more rain. Car was amazing - handled very well, stayed on the road, little to no wind noise (and with 40+ mph winds, I think I would have noticed if there was a problem). Quite amazing for an 8 year old car. After driving it home in those weather conditions, I believe it will take good care of my baby boy. Wish it had the better sound system, but at 17, he can trick it out with what he wants. Am 52 years old, drive a Lincoln Aviator, but was able to sit in this vehicle for more than 5 hours without any problem. It's low to the ground, but once you get inside, has plenty of room. Am very pleased with my purchase.

Car was not as described. Needed brake rotors and pads ($ 230), air and cabin filters had not been changed for a long time, listed as BMW maintained but obviously not, 2 bent rims that we found when we replaced the tires, head light out that cost $ 200 to replace, and title took a week to get while I was constantly pursueing (extremely frustrating transaction). The repairs have cost over $ 1000 and would have been more if I didn't do the work myself.

Car is used and generally we're pleased with it and would be ok if the listing would have been correct.

Overall, the BMW was in excellent condition. It doesn't handle as well as a Porsche, but I had less concerns about its reliability than of a Porsche of a comparable year and model. The most impressive aspects were its ergonomics, ride, and automatic stability control, which was truly seamless and impressive. I wasn't able to find the dipstick for the transmission under the hood or information on it in the owner's manual. If it were a permanently sealed unit that doesn't require servicing like the differentials on some models, I wished they had clearly indicated that in the manual. The cruise control wasn't very intuitive and a bit confusing, even with the help of the manual. The same thing applies for controlling the fresh air intake into the cabin.

Seller worked hard to take care of getting the car to us and getting everything properly in order to transfer. Thumbs up for this buyer!

I pretty much loved the car from the moment I saw it. I was looking around for another vehicle ... a couple of mustangs, a truck and a few others when I decided to pull up BMW's. I loved the overall look from the front to the back of the car. The AC Schnitzer after market package is awesome (wheels, spoiler, euro tail light, and exhaust tip). The car corners as Julia Roberts said in Pretty Woman like it's on rails, I mean it holds a curve like nobody's business. I had never driven a BMW before and damn I hate that it took so long for me to have the opportunity to do so. Performance is top notch, Reliability ... well so far so good (just bought it), Comfort is great, Quality and Craftsmanship are superb! Very pleased with the car!
