What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

The 1995 BMW M3 was first released into the United States after having been glorified in the European market since its 1994 debut. However, the US version received a significantly detuned engine to assist with United State's strict emissions requirements. Unfortunately, it only gave the 3.0L engine 240 horsepower with the capability of 300+. The drivetrains and electrical systems is what gives the 1995 M3 an edge over the other E36 years. The OBD-1 engine management system allows for simple performance tuning with the installation of a chip, the exhaust system only has 1 Oxygen sensor, version the 96-99 models having 4! and the revving ability and top end is simply amazing. When looking at the numbers, the 1995 M3 does not look that impressive, but it is in my opinion the best handling (50/50 weight distribution) and best performing car you can buy right now. The slick 5 speed manual (ZF) transmission has a 1:1 final drive ratio, and 3:15 differential ration which will give top notch power from 20mph - 140mph+. At high speeds this car feels like a tank and VERY stable. It is also very safe with excellent impact ratings. There are a couple things I recommend, first, get one with a rare color (Avus Blue, Dakar Yellow, Cosmos Black) because their resell values are higher. Also, buy one with a Manual transmission. True sports cars of this time are meant to be driven with a manual transmission!! If you have not already noticed, 2 door coupes were the only body type offered. There are excellent aftermarket tuners out there such as Active Autowerke (www.activeautowerke.com), Turner Motorsport (www.turnermotorsport.com), and DINAN (www.dinancars.com). Have fun and drive safe!!

1995 BMW 3-Series: Excellent experience

We bought a mint condition 1995 covertible 318i BMW from Jim Norton Toyota in Tulsa, Oklahoma through ebay, won the bid at 4051.01, the car was basically a one owner and had excellent maintenance records. We were treated like we had just bought an expensive car from this dealership, friendly, professional, and honest. Great cars are out there through this venue, you just have to do your homework, CarFax reports are very helpful and worth the money to obtain one on any used vehicle you are looking at. The person that traded this one in at the dealership was crazy for not keeping it.

1995 BMW 3-Series: A Steal!!!!!!!

Last year I bought my son a 1986 BMW 325es. Since then I have been buying parts for his car on Ebay. Afterwards I began, driving the car until my son started complaining. I started looking for my own BMW through Ebay and found some good deals but they were all out of state and I could not afford the shipping. I finally found one here in Houston, TX and it happened to be a convertible! I watched it and discussed it with my wife and I entered one bid. My wife and I watched the auction via my iphone while at my son's football game. We could not believe we won the auction for the price we paid. The car is in outstanding mechanical condition, and all of our friends and family members cannot believe the price we paid for this vehicle. WE LOVE THIS CAR!!! Now my son wants to trade cars!!!!!!! NO WAY!! Because of this purchase through Ebay, one of my cousins who has no experience with Ebay demanded that I help him sign up with Ebay and Pay Pal!!!

I love the car I just don't like the upkeep of the car. The price is a little high for parts and service. Other than that the car is a really nice car. So far I have still have more than a 1/4 gas and over 200 miles.

The car itself was exactly as described by the seller, therefore I was very happy with this portion of the experience since I wasn't able to inspect it first (it was 300 miles from where I live). I flew in and drove the vehicle home, and it has been great! The problem is that I left feedback as soon as I got home....not realizing that my transaction wasn't complete. Since this dealer is in my same State, I paid him TT&L with the purchase, received a temporary tag for the car, and was supposed to receive the new license plates and registration in the mail within 30 days. By state law the dealer has 20 business days to complete the transfer process with the state. It has been almost 7 weeks now, and this dealer still has not completed the paperwork. Therefore, I am unable to drive the vehicle b/c I have no tags or license plates. I have spoken with him numerous times but have been lied to every time, and getting the run-around with him. I have also spoken with the State DMV, but haven't made any progress there yet either. This has turned into a very bad situation as I paid cash for this vehicle, and I have the car with a bill of sale, but do not have the title or registration which I already paid the dealer for. It is looking as though this is going to cost me a lot more with potentially having to hire legal council to get it cleared up. In light of this, I will advise anyone who is considering this large of purchase through Ebay with somone who is not local to be very careful! The deal you are seeing may very well be too good to be true! You are much safer going with an individual or dealer that it local - even if it means you pay a little more. The security far outweighs what might appear as a good deal.

I like the car base on the model, the color blue i can work with,
the intior is very nice, but hard to keep clean, i wisk it was gray.
The price was right, i did spend a few extra dollars to get it perfect.

The seller, dealt with me very speedily, and that was very good, he was kind to pick me up in New York so that i could get the car. I would recommend the sellers if he had anything for sale on ebay.

Also the seller listed everything about the car and there was nothing misleading in the description of the car. The communication was perfect.

I will buy on ebay again later the year, i think it is a great market place, at your finger tip.

1995 BMW 3-Series: 325is - a well-built car that's a blast to drive!

This is an excellent vehicle if you are looking for a practical and attractive sporty car. The 189 HP inline-six engine delivers smooth power and can reach high speeds in no-time. The OBDI engine management system is easy and informative to work with (fewer special tools required) and the electronics in the car are rather sophisticated. An on-board computer tracks faults with fluid levels, light bulb outages, and more, it also gives driving data like fuel economies, temperature, range, avg. speed, time and more. I also enjoy the sophisticated design of the body, interior and chassis. The instruments and controls are exactly as they should be; in ergonomic locations for the driver and with nice, clean design. The balance, handling and braking characteristics are excellent, as you would expect from a BMW. The steering wheel does not vibrate from road speeds which can really save your hands on road trips. Gas mileage is good (if you can keep your foot off the gas!) I can get about 30mpg on the highway and 24 around town and in traffic.

BMW builds a fine machine which is designed and assembled in an orderly and maintainable fashion, and this model is no exception. It is easy to perform all of the standard services like filters, fluids, etc. BMW doesn't get everything right though; as with most manufacturers, there are always some issues with model lines. The E36 series seemed to have an issue with the window regulator where the auto-up malfunctions and the window rolls down instead of going up. Its no big deal since it doesn't happen all the time, you just push the up button again. (The only solution to this is regulator replacement.) Another issue with the E36's is peeling clear coat. A friend of mine had the same model/year and also had some clear coat peeling. It is typical on the hood and roof. The repair to clear coat, at least, is easy and in-expensive.

All in all, the E36 is an excellent value for the now-low-price. You can generally pick these up for only $5K and the maintenance costs are very low if you are handy with cars. Highly recommended.

In manual form, a blast to drive hard, but my Northern car suffers from rust in the front wheel quarters where the spray collects behind the plastic wheel well liner. My non-sunroof model gives my tall frame (6'3") the room to wear a helmet for track days (the only BMW that does, I've found). Lots of miles, but they seem to go on forever.
