This car embodies the perfect blend of balanced handling, performance, and economy of travel. I have hit 129 mph before running low on tar, I have packed away a #4 Duluth pack, and two internal frame backpacks, fishing and camping gear, a Grumman 19 ft canoe on a roof rack and rope bridle I made, all to get up into our BWCA canoe area in Northern Minn. The RSX took the load with not a complaint, performed as asked, and then when unloaded, she was right back to her dynamic self.
I find myself saying "I love this car" practically every time I drive it, and we have 71k on the car at this point. She has always gotten around 35 mpg, unless we have the canoe gear onboard, and then it will be in the mid 20's.
The ONLY regret that I have is that Acura has chosen to stop making this model of car now. A sad day for someone who enjoys the heck out of superior engineering, a fabulous grasp of built in quality and performance, and a car with true heart.
My undying gratitude for the wonderful designers, engineers and techs that made this car the very best I have ever driven or owned. It is pure pleasure on wheels.
