Yes folks I'm the one guy that got taken. The vehicle that I purchased and received was not as represented in the item listing. Of note is that the seller is an actual dealer in South Florida and had a satisfaction rating of 100% with a history of selling dozens of cars via eBay. Such things as conv top not working elect window and seats not working unable to access the trunk. It took 12 days for delivery then I had to wait an additional 8 days to receive a set of keys from England so that we could access the trunk and get to a fuse box to determine that problems were more than just a couple of blown fuses. I then looked at the guarantee section of eBay motors and it recommends that you first contact the seller to see if you can work something out so I did just that. After several phone calls and emails over the period of two weeks it became evident that I was not going to get any help from the seller. I then turned to eBay to file a complaint and file a claim. The problem here is that when I report them to the ethics and safety team there doesn't appear to be any real investigation. Noone has asked me for copies of the email that I sent to the dealer trying to resolve this matter. Noone has asked to see a copy of the cars evaluation report by a certified mechanic from a dealer for this make of auto. For all I know the seller is getting a slap on the wrist in the form of my feedback with only 80 characters to express my dissatisfaction with the seller. And now for the guarantee that eBay offers on all cars sold thru them. Well it seems that they only allow you to file a claim within 35 days of the close of the bid. Since I spent 12 waiting on delivery 8 days waiting on keys and then an additional two weeks trying to work things out directly with the seller as eBay requests my 35 days has passed. So now eBay has abandoned me to fend for my self. I did receive this nice long email from eBay telling me how there are places on line to file complaints or file disputes. This action I feel is too little too late. eBay should step up here and make an effort to see that a fair and complete transaction took place and not penalize me for trying to do the right thing and work it out directly with the seller. To say the least this has been one of the most stressful and frustrating experiences in my life. Folks this is not a minor problem the estimates I received to get the car in the condition as represented thru eBay will cost me just over $9000.00 Good luck with your purchases and be very very careful and ask hard questions of the sellers to see if they will stand behind their product or hide behind "as is".

This is the most amazing car I have every owned. It handles beautifully, is an absolute pleasure to sit and is pretty much as fast as anything Italy has to offer. And the price of admisssion is pretty reasonable.

As with anything like this, the price of admission is only part fo the cost. Repairs are expensive. And the car does not go unnoticed which means you have to take extra care with where you park it and what you leave in it as thieves are always on the look out for nice cars. $1500 and amny headaches later, i had the passenger glass replaced, the passenger door repainted and still have to replace the radar detector and garmin. Don't leave suction cups in the windows!!!

Otherwise, this car is a dream. Keep it maintained and I expect it to provide a lots of years of excellent fun service.

Rides a little rougher then I think it should, Back seats useless.
Fun Car to drive, lots of pickup, very smooth shifting, a definate head turner,
awesome stereo system, even with top down quiet ride.

Before you buy a pre 2003 XK8 look for these 3 things 1) have the timing chain tensioners been upgraded? #3800.00 2) Has the water pump, thermostat and thermstat housing been upgraded? $1100.00 3) has the throttle body been upgraded? $2500.00. These are major problem areas and I wouldn't touch a pre 2003 XK8 unless these items have been done or unless you can get a really good deal. I got a pretty good deal on a low mileage XK8 and made the upgrades. The throttle body upgrade was free thru a recall good until 12/31/09.

The car is truely a fun car to drive - excellent performance, classy, and since the body style remained the same for 10 years it still looks new. Just be prepared to deal with potential issues that will zing your bank account. Since I bought mine, my 87 year old neighbor liked it so much he bought one 2 weeks later, and another friend bought one after seeing mine.

The vehicle looks and runs very well and was accurately described by the seller. I am very satisfied.

I would recommend buying from Ron Lestock anytime; he delivered my product in a timely fashion. There were a few minor adjustments made in the deal, which he gladly took care of. I would trust him 100% to do what he says he will do!

Buying a use car has its risks. The car is mechanically sound, but has a lot of little problems. For example, passenger seat adjustments and heater are inoperable, with seat stuck in an uncomfortable position, small electical problems. The one problem that bothers me is that the car had 2800 more miles on it than advertised amounting to a 5% mistake on the odometer. They could not give me a reason for the problem.

People can't believe this is a 10 year old car. Many believe it is new because it looks like it came off the showroom floor. I bid on 20 cars before winning this auction and I am quite pleased with purchase. The only issue has been that the latch on the convertible top can be temperamental.

These are the nicest cars. Very comfortable, great stereo, fit and finish is execellent. I'm pleased so far in all respects.

I didn't take possesion of the vehicle. After speaking with the seller, I found that the car was not drivable and thus too expensive to fix or transport. The seller seemed amiable enough and sincere about the product. I thanked him for his honesty. However, I would like to have know about the non-drivable condition prior to placing a deposit. I have not yet received the return of my deposit.
