What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

2004 Acura RSX: Type S - Sporty, fun and fuel efficient

I love my 2004 Acura RSX Type S. If someone stole it, I would try to get another one (but I would get a 2006 as the engine has 10 more horsepower). Acura doesn't make this car any more, which is a big mistake in my opinion.

The RSX Type S is a performance car (coupe/hatchback) that gets good gas mileage. I use mine as my everyday driver, and every day it puts a smile on my face. It's a car the size of a Honda Civic with a 200HP iVTEC (variable camshaft) engine and a smooth shifting 6-speed manual transmission in it. The iVTEC lets you get 20Mpg around town and 32Mpg on the highway (my actual, measured fuel economy over a period of years) if you drive it conservatively. If you don't drive conservatively, getting into the VTEC above 5,000RPMs, the car is a blast to drive. It's kind of like a Mini Cooper except with more room inside (and storage because of the hatchback) and more power.

There are two things to be aware of though:
1. This isn't a luxury car, like the other Acura models. It's got leather seats, 6 CD changer in dash, alloy rims, power windows, and remote keyless entry, but it doesn't have heated seats, power seats, XM radio, etc. The only standard option is a navigation system, although there are tons of after market parts available for it.

2. The engine doesn't deliver a lot of low-end torque. It produces most of it's power when you get the RPMs up over 4,000. It will pull all the way to the red line on the tach though!

Acura doesn't make the RSX Type S any more. The closest thing you can buy new in the US would be a Honda Civic Si (with iVTEC).

Last comment - this review is about the Type S version. The base version is a different animal altogether. That car is just an upscale Honda Civic passenger car.

A very fun car to drive, the type s extra 20 h.p. is very noticable at high rpm. The car is fun to drive, handles well but the seats are not that comfortable, and lacks a arm rest, but that not why you buy one of these pocket rockets is it. Overall very satified with the car and the performance. I would higly reocomend.

Horrible Seller, Toyota of Greensburg does not know how to do buisness on ebay. NEVER BUY FROM THEM. I left them negative feedback. They never get back to you, they are dishonest about what they describe in their auctions. The car looked nothing like described.

The car runs smoothly and gets good gas mileage, it has a small back seat but that's to be expected with a 2 door car like this. It's a perfect car for my teenager.

2006 Acura RSX: Best Pocket Rocket Around

I love this car. It is the second one I have owned. For the price you can't get any more reliable performance. You can get an SRT-4 for less with more power, but come on. A Turbo American engine? Good luck getting 100,000 miles out of that. With Honda craftsmanship you can expect 250,000+ miles out of your RSX. Plus try to take turns in the SRT-4.

There's nothing more fun than taking an offramp that has a suggested speed limit of 45mph at 75mph with no worries of not making it.

The only thing I would warn others about is that the stiff seats can get a little uncomfortable if you're going to be driving over 350miles non-stop.

2005 Acura RSX: 2005 RSX S is truly one of the greatest cars ever made

I love the 2005 Acura RSX-S. It is arguably the greatest car ever made. The cars are not only fuel efficent but are extreemly fast and handle well. I recently purchased a 05 RSX-S off from ebay but due to the seller being DIS-Honest was not the car that it should be. These cars are so awesome BUT BEWARE make sure you have a mechanic or someone you know that knows these cars because since they are so awesome and fast there is a higher chance that someone has beat on it or possibly it is missing parts that an in-experienced buyer may not know about. I would suggest having a local Acura Dealership look over the car for you that way you know what you are getting yourself into. However when you do find one of these babies that have been treated well and are in the PREMO shape, there is nothing better.

things i like:
-its fun to drive
-color scheme, i dont like red but it looks very good because it all matches beautifully
-agressive look of car, it just doesnt get old to me
-sunroof
-lumbar on driver seat
-ease of working on car:engine, interior, etc
-integrated fm antenna in rear hatch window
-dual split, fold down rear seats, one pull and their down in 3 seconds
-cargo cover for rear
-rear power outlet, on back of center console
-dual center console storage, top storage, reveals 2 cup holders below. looks very clean

things i dont like:
-stereo is facing driver, away from everybody else
-gas mpg isnt all that great, like 25-27.
-factory speakers, rear speakers are usless, the way they are angled, you cannot hear them, the fronts over power them so much i have to fade almost everything to the back just so it sounds even.
-small glovebox, no room for anything if factory owners manual is present.
-heavy doors, very large (they have to be because of the 2 door style, but they are big and heavy)
-loud, lots of road noice especially on freeway, its suppost to be a sport car, lightweight and all but it is fairly loud, while driving, which in some opinions is not bad.
-rear has large blind spots, fix with buying large broadway mirror.
