What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

I wanted a good car and thought ebay would protect me if i had a problem but in turn they protected the seller instead.

Basically car made it 200 miles and the engine blew...

I do not recommend EBAY to anybody anymore i have had nothing but bad experiences and ripoffs...

Ebay is a site designed for con-artists and scammers...

I just picked my Prelude up a few months ago from my friends dad who bought it brand new! It's now at 197,000 miles and runs great! (my camaro died at 180,000) So for reliability you really can't beat it this car still zips right along and handles very well. I'll drive mine until the wheels fall off, which won't be anytime soon, it's a Honda!

There's a couple things about this car, first off it does get the typical Honda rust around the rear wheel wells. I'm getting the body fixed up and repainted soon though, just watch out for it. Also you should really swap the timing belt and water pump after 80,000 miles cause when that belt goes so does your head, but the crank pulley on mine is stuck (so someone with a low mileage H22 Vtec w/ tranny better keep you're eyes open for me haha).

Other than those 2 things it's a great car, completely loaded with sunroof, security system, power windows, door locks, leather, the whole nine yards. It's a shame they stopped making them, I love watching Mustangs get spanked by these little cars!

2000 Honda Prelude: 2000 Pre;ude

I bought this car on an impulse. The wife's car died and we needed another vehicle fast. My brother-in-law had owned a 2nd Gen prelude and I liked it a lot. I found my 2000 and fell in love. I couldn't be happier with the car. It's a Honda (duh) therefor it's reliable. The interior is roomy and well designed. It's peppy and a dream to drive. Comfort is a little lacking but heck, it's a sports car, whaddya expect. Gas mileage isn't stunning for a 4 cyl. but it's acceptable at almost 25 mpg. I can't speak highly enough about the quality of the car and the good looks. I can't believe Honda ever stopped making them. I have to sell mine because we are moving to a snowy environment. If it wasn't for moving to North Dakota, I would never sell this vehicle. If you are looking for a hot car that is easy to maintain and will last forever, the Prelude is it. Also, there is a very strong network of Prelude owners on the internet so if you ever need questions answered on your car, you can find it easily.

Have owned several of the Honda Preludes. This 2000 i still own and probably always will. This is truly a beautiful car. The driving and handling in my opinion is as good as it gets. I am now over the age of 65 and and still enjoy driving this car. My Prelude is red in color has 78000 orignal miles still runds just as good as when new. These Preludes require premimum fuel. Drive the care reasonable and you can get about 30 MPH. A great sporty little car, fun to drive. Mine will never be for sale. They don't make them like this anymore. Enjoy it. Prelude owner.

1994 Honda Prelude: Prelude's can be great!

Preludes are no longer made, This is the 2nd to last gen. 4th gen. With a JDM h22 and ATTS in the SRV vtec i purchased It will put down some torque and is alot of fun to drive. If you are racing or tuning i recommend RS machine in LA installs a BALANCE SHAFT ELIMINATOR" on your engine as That is the first issue i ran into. Also Put a notch or tack a bracket over your cam & crank seals, by notch i mean install the seal and in the metal retainer notch two sides of the rings metal retainer so the metal now sits behind the block or head piece it seals behind, this will prevent the pressure from blowing your seals out. That's racing secrets there for free, you are welcome I got a set of after market drilled and slotted iRotors and it stops on a dime. 60/40 weight distribution, and a stock HP in the 200hp range depending on engine model for vtecs. Approx 24-27mpg when not rodding it .

This vehicle is very nice. It is a great vehicle whether it is for someone buying their first vehicle or whatever. It's good on gas and only takes about $25 to fill up! Has a V-TECH engine, so that just makes the car that much better!

My new used 2001 Honda Prelude is better then I dreamed.
The Prelude is tight, no rattles or vibrations.
Engine is powerful and interior and exterior are masterly designed.
Car handles and drives great.
I put new tires and if you go larger then 215/55R16, they will rub.
This is a great 2 door sports car.

2000 Honda Prelude: Loads of fun if you're under 40

I had a 2000 Prelude with sport-shift transmission. Purchased it new in January of 2000 and kept it until May of 2005. It had 61,000 miles on it when I traded it, mostly commuting to work.

On a day-to-day basis this was an excellent commuter car. As long as I spent less than 30 minutes at a time driving, it was fine. But once I passed that 30-minute mark, my back started hurting, my legs cramped, and my shoulders and neck ached for more space to stretch out.

It was an EXTREMELY reliable car, performed and handled like a dream, considering it only had a 4-cylinder engine. It got over 25 mpg with my regular driving, and I even made one trip where it got 31.5 mph on the highway.

It also had a lot of space once you folded down the rear seat. I could fit two sets of golf clubs in there without too much trouble. It was great for taking the dogs to the vet, too. Fold down the rear seat and they were very happy--I had one 65-lb. Labrador, a 60-lb. Springer Spaniel, and a couple of 40-lb. mutts. Two dogs at a time were not a problem.

Just my opinion--I thought this car was BEAUTIFUL. Mine was black and I kept it SPOTLESS. I wish I had it back just to drive a few times a week. But it wasn't practical for me and most of the stuff I have to haul around. The main reason I traded was COMFORT.

You'll think I'm an idiot--I traded my little Prelude on a 2005 Expedition. Three months later gasoline went over $3.00 per gallon and stayed there for a long time.

But my back and knees don't hurt anymore. Whoever bought my Prelude got a bargain, because these cars will easily last 150,000 miles.

The seller was not interested in selling a car, but in getting my money.

I didn't get the car and he didn't get my money.

The Ebay system works!
