What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

1968 Ford Mustang: 1968 Ford Mustang Convertible

The seller (Matt Pons) should be ashamed of himself for even listing the 1968 Mustang convertible I bought from him on ebay. I don't know what my legal actions are at this point, or what actions ebay can take on my behalf, but I know why he wanted cash or a cashiers check up front before he released the car. I should have used pay pal or a credit card, then I would have had some kind of recourse.
My fault for not doing a personal inspection of the car, but people should not be allowed to sell junk on ebay. This cannot be restored and it is "not" a project car. It has been rat infested, there is no solid metal on the car, it left a trail of rust from Massachusetts to Utah, the delivery driver got a kick out of that.
The only monetary value of this car is the engine, convertible top motor and a few chrome pieces. No brakes on the car. Can't even get the wheels off to repair, they are rusted together. I'm very disappointed with the seller!!
Lubing and repair in the back yard will not be opportunities.
If Mr.Pons has any conscience at all, he will refund at least 1/2 of my money $6,766 plus $1,000 shipping = $3,800.
I don't know where he finds these cars, but they are not worth restoring. (he has another Mustang convertible listed right now, with the same verbage, he is looking for cash again. Listing #200099174492. He has excellent ratings for selling baseball cards, it looks as though he just started in the car business.
I am not rich, I can't put $40,000 to $50,000 into a piece of rusted out garbage, lubing will not fix these doors. Every piece of metal on this car has to be replaced. Shame on you Matt!! The car is not worth the $1,000 I paid to get it here. I got swindled big time, and it is time for this kind of selling to stop.

I recently purchased a 1965 Mustang on Ebay. I looked at the pictures and emailed and spoke to the seller on the phone. The mustang was described as ready to race. Well when I received the car, there were several problems with it. The suspension on the car was modified by the seller and the left fender is resting on the tire, the headers are also resting on the suspension which if driven will damage the headers, engine and suspension. The brakes do not work and the list goes on. I filed with Ebay Fraud protection because next to the ad it said I was covered up to $20,000. Ebay said I am not covered and they cannot help me. Your Fraud Protection gives the buyer a false sense of security during a purchase. It appears that your fraud protection is in fact fraud itself.Consider me a former customer unless you step up to the plate and take responsibility.

On this car I like the whole original condition. It it isn't a perfect car but has the potential to become one. The manual transmission is really smooth to drive and makes so much more fun to drive as one with automatic trans (I owned one some years before). In combination with the Cobra Jet 351 it is a real dream. The engine runs strong, has a electronic ignition update and a new Edelbrock carb.
The painting is a mixture from original and some newer works. This painting works aren't really good because they haven't dismount the chrome moldings.
The interesting thing for other ebayers is that I live in Switzerland Europe and I haven't seen the car before. I called with the seller and he has described the car so good as he could. And he has told the truth. The car is what the seller has promised (it isn't self-evident).

It tooks about 4 weeks from auction ending until it arrived to my home. All in all I'm very happy with this car and would do it again.

I've had mine now for a roughly 4 years and I've been pretty satisfied. If you are looking to buy 05 to 07, then you might want to ask if the stepper motors in the guage cluster have been changed out. If they haven't then you can expect just about all of your guages to quit working.

1965 Ford Mustang: Get an inspection

I bought this 65 Mustang to have something to fix up and my wife wanted it so here I am. I drove this Mustang at 70mph from LA area to Yuma AZ with no problem. Drove it around town with no problem. Drove it to work(29 miles one way) and on way home I lost transmission(linkage went out but repaired it myself)actually transmission was stuck in 1st until I got home(3 miles) causing the car to overheat and I held up alot of traffic because I couldn't get over 25mph. Its nice having a car again I can repair myself however an inspection of auto would have had me forgoing this vehicle for something in the V8 vice straight 6 category. Paint, body, interior wasn't what I thought it would be even with good pictures alot of details did not show up in pictures(again an inspection would have helped);however, when I saw it and started to discuss these areas the seller worked with me and I paid less than my auction price which made things a little better. Again if I had to do it again and I will a V8 is where I'm going but this Mustang is for my wife and she enjoys it and that's all that counts.

This car was bought for my daughter's first car. It will be used for local driving. For being 10 years old, it is in very good shape and runs very well. The 6 cylinder motor is a great advantage for gas mileage. Overall I give this car a 8 out of 10 for a first time car.
