What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

The seller (Matt Pons) should be ashamed of himself for even listing the 1968 Mustang convertible I bought from him on ebay. I don't know what my legal actions are at this point, or what actions ebay can take on my behalf, but I know why he wanted cash or a cashiers check up front before he released the car. I should have used pay pal or a credit card, then I would have had some kind of recourse.
My fault for not doing a personal inspection of the car, but people should not be allowed to sell junk on ebay. This cannot be restored and it is "not" a project car. It has been rat infested, there is no solid metal on the car, it left a trail of rust from Massachusetts to Utah, the delivery driver got a kick out of that.
The only monetary value of this car is the engine, convertible top motor and a few chrome pieces. No brakes on the car. Can't even get the wheels off to repair, they are rusted together. I'm very disappointed with the seller!!
Lubing and repair in the back yard will not be opportunities.
If Mr.Pons has any conscience at all, he will refund at least 1/2 of my money $6,766 plus $1,000 shipping = $3,800.
I don't know where he finds these cars, but they are not worth restoring. (he has another Mustang convertible listed right now, with the same verbage, he is looking for cash again. Listing #200099174492. He has excellent ratings for selling baseball cards, it looks as though he just started in the car business.
I am not rich, I can't put $40,000 to $50,000 into a piece of rusted out garbage, lubing will not fix these doors. Every piece of metal on this car has to be replaced. Shame on you Matt!! The car is not worth the $1,000 I paid to get it here. I got swindled big time, and it is time for this kind of selling to stop.

1965 Ford Mustang: Buyer Beware

I recently purchased a 1965 Mustang on Ebay. I looked at the pictures and emailed and spoke to the seller on the phone. The mustang was described as ready to race. Well when I received the car, there were several problems with it. The suspension on the car was modified by the seller and the left fender is resting on the tire, the headers are also resting on the suspension which if driven will damage the headers, engine and suspension. The brakes do not work and the list goes on. I filed with Ebay Fraud protection because next to the ad it said I was covered up to $20,000. Ebay said I am not covered and they cannot help me. Your Fraud Protection gives the buyer a false sense of security during a purchase. It appears that your fraud protection is in fact fraud itself.Consider me a former customer unless you step up to the plate and take responsibility.

This car was bought for my daughter's first car. It will be used for local driving. For being 10 years old, it is in very good shape and runs very well. The 6 cylinder motor is a great advantage for gas mileage. Overall I give this car a 8 out of 10 for a first time car.

1970 Ford Mustang: 1979 Mach I Mustang

I decided to buy this car after the seller reassured me about its condition.

This car was listed as having a fold down rear seat, and as needing partial front floor pans with some rust to the torque boxes. The seller also stated that the rest of the undercarriage contained surface rust only that could be cleaned up with a wire brush. I have emails of this description which were made before I bid on the car.

When I received the car from the transport carrier, I found that the car had no fold down rear seat. The seat was simply a non-attached one which was lying flat. It had severe rust in all fender wells, rusted holes in the hood, passenger door, and in all floor pans. When I was inspecting the car in the back interior, my knee went through the rusted back floorboard all the way to the ground. Upon further inspection, I found that all floorpans had some lightweight metal stuck under the carpet, concealing complete rust out.

The deception continued after the purchase, with the seller's wife telling me by phone that her husband had driven the car onto the transport carrier. The transport driver said the seller gave him $50 extra to winch the car on the trailer. The driver also told me that the seller said at loading time that I knew it was a non operable vehicle. In my email exchanges with the seller, I asked if the car could be driven from Indianapolis to Arkansas. His response was that it would probably be better to transport it that distance.

Up to this point I have always been very satisfied with my Ebay purchases. I have never had to give a single negative feedback before this transaction. I am very unhappy with the misrepresentation of this vehicle. I have 4 fastbacks with folddown seats, so I know that having no fold down rear seat and having to replace all the rusted out parts decreases the value of this vehicle by at least $2500.00.

I have always purchased believing that Ebay protected me from fraud of this kind. In this case, however, Ebay representatives have told me that this is my problem, and they will not get involved.

Just a FYI that I have found since my negative feedback was submitted to Ebay: the seller has changed his identity from "Metal Masters" to "Supportourtroops09".

1972 Ford Mustang: MY EBAY PURCHASE
12/03/09

• Overall Satisfaction:
i HAVE ALWAYS WANTED A MUSTANG EVER SINCE I GOT RID OF MY RED 68 FASTBACK, THAT WAS 25 YRS AGO, I LOOKED AND LOOKED,EVERYWHERE AND SOME LOCALLY, SOME WAS WAY TO RICH FOR MY BLOOD OR RUSTED DOWN PILE OF JUNK THAT PEOPLE WAS STILL ASKING AN ARM AND LEG OF IT.
SO I DONE SOME LOOKING ON EBAY AND STARTED BIDDING ON A FAIRLY NICE 72 FASTBACK, I WAS IN THE LEAD ALMOST ALL WEEK, THE LAST 2 MIN. I GOT OUT BID, SO I INCREASED MY MAX, THEN WAS BACK IN THE LEAD AGAIN, THEN THE LAST 30 SEC THE BID STARTED DISAPEARING, AS THE SELLER WAS CANCELING ALL BIDS AS I CONFIRMED MY MAX.
THEN EBAY SAID I'D WON IT AND TO CONTACT SELLER. AND HE ENDED UP SELLING IT TO ME AFTER SALE WAS OVER. BECAUSE HE SAID HE DID THE WHOLE THING WRONG AS FAR AS STOPPING THE AUCTION, BECAUSE HE DIDNT PUT A RESERVE ON THE CAR, SO HE SAID I COULD BY IT ANT WAY.

I WENT TO PICK UP THE CAR, LOADED IT ON THE TRAILER HEADED HOME (5 1/2 HR DRIVE).BEFORE I GOT IT HOME, HAD SEVERAL GUYS STOP ME AND ASK ME IF I'D SELL IT. I HADNT EVEN GOT IT HOME YET. LOL
I AM NOW IN THE PROCESS OF PUTTING ON SOME NEEDED SHEET METAL IN SOME PLACES THAT ARE NEEDED.WORK ON THE INTERIOR, IM GOING TO HAVE IT PAINTED, HOPEFULLY BY MYSELF,WHEN ITS DONE I MIGHT DO CRUISE INS, CAR SHOWS OR JUST TAKE THE WIFE AND DAUGHTER OUT FOR A DRIVE, AND WHEN MY DAUGHTER GETS OLD ENOUGH TO DRIVE, ILL MAYBE LET HER DRIVE IT

OVERALL, IM HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE, AND CANT WAIT TO SEE THE END RESULTS
SO THANK YOU EBAY FOR HAVING A AWSOME BUISINESS THAT PEOPLE CAN FULFILL THEIR DREAMS

THANKS AGAIN
THOMAS E. SMITH

This car is a blast to drive and it makes my commute at the very least, enjoyable. I got this car with only 3492 miles, and it drives and smells just like a new car. It is one of the best deals I have gotten on e-bay. I was at first hesitant to purchase a car on line. But with the inspection services I utilized, it gave me peace of mind. I would purchase another car on line if needed.

2000 Ford Mustang: seller dealer

• Overall Satisfaction:
Vehicle had damage that was definitely not in the pictures that were posted. There was a specific picture of the rear passenger side bumper that clearly showed no damage. Yet there was $500.00 dollars worth of damage. We also have not received the title which the dealer said he had to do the paper work due to his dealer status, we have not received the new registration showing the transfer of the plates which the seller also said due to dealer status he was obligated to complete. Seller is dragging his feet regarding the missing paperwork. This is cause for great concern. Buyer beware. Satisfied with the performance of the vehicle completely dissatisfyied with the seller (dealer?0

Bought the car on a whim-always loved the style. Was already restored with some issues. Have already replaced dash, windshield, headlights and cleaned up heating system and wiring. Wonderful car for her age and fun ride. H-code motor upgraded to 4 barrel with dual headers. Gets lots of attention.
