This generation of Integra is the best kept secret in the world of sporty compact cars. It must be, the prices are so shockingly low for what you get. I've had my Integra LS for the past 13 years and love it. Still looks great (better than a lot of newer cars, in my opinion), rides great and is ultra reliable. It hasn't been problem free, by any means, but maintainance and repairs are quite reasonable compared to other cars. I've only had to have it towed once, and that was because a mechanic had misaligned a belt on a recent service.
The trick is to find an Integra that hasn't been abused, and that's not easy. Most have been modified to death (and not by a qualified professional), street raced or otherwise neglected. What a shame. If you can find one in original condition, buy it immediately!
One of the other reviewers mentioned a problem the automatic shoulder belts. Acura warrantees seatbelts for the life of the car, so any Acura dealership will replace a broken safety belt and it won't cost you a dime. My driver's side shoulder belt motor failed a couple of years ago and the dealership replaced it no problem (they also stole my hood emblem, but that's another story).
I've had 5 full-sized adults in the car at a time. It's cozy, but the car will accommodate. Fold down the rear seats and you have a surprising amount of cargo space. I can put an mountain bike in there without popping off the front wheel. Seats are supportive with good bolsters, but firm. Long road trips can leave you with a few aches. Placement of controls is perfect. Reach for the shift knob and it falls right into your hand. Instrument panel is clear and uncluttered. Everything is simple and functional.
Outward visability is incredible. The other reviewer is correct, there are no blind spots. The hood has a nice low profile so you don't have to peer over an acre of sheet metal to see the road. Visability out the back is superb.
Gas mileage is excellent too, I get about 25 mpg on regular gas (that's another plus, you don't need premium).
My only complaints are:
1) The most common complaint for any car, horsepower. 140 hp is not bad for a 1.8L four cylinder, but a little more zest wouldn't hurt.
2) The stock suspension is a little soft, then again the car is 16 years old. Some inexpensive aftermarket parts can easily solve this.
Speaking of parts, you can get any OEM part from the dealership EXCEPT floor mats. They don't make them anymore. But you can get decent reproductions from www.dstuning.com.
Now go buy an Integra before everyone catches on and the prices go up!
