What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee: 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

The straight six engine is tough and reliable and can tow moderately, but if you want to have more get-up-and-go, definitely opt for the V8. If you are towing a motorboat or recreation trailer, you really have no choice but to get the V8. No major issues with mine, the 4 wheel drive has remained easy to use and operates smoothly at 125,000 miles. Same with the transmission, no clunks or grinds. You do need to stay on the routine maintenace however. Brakes, fluid changes, and tires, as well as suspension parts want to be babied to stay smooth in ride on the highway. It does have a good blend of highway and mild off-road capabilities, so if you live in the snowy areas it holds up year-round. It does like to eat up brakes in the front, but they grab well and respond like a mid-sized car. The shocks that hold up the rear lift gate seem to fail, I have run into other Jeep owners with similar issues. There are tons of factory parts available, however, which makes them pretty cheap to tinker with!

2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee: 2 grand cherokees limited v8's 2001s

Well having owned 2 other limited 99s v8 4x4s before, I do like them and I have 2 2001s now, one 4x4 other 2x4 both v8s. 2x4 is a rocket & easier steering, the 4x4 is a great one, I tow a boat 5,55lbs and no problems. All v8 4.7s are Mercedes Benz engines, if not abused & taken care they will run for the life of the car(tough v8s). One thing that have broken is the window mechanisms and on ebay $60 vs. dealer $120 (they last 4-5 years only on both jeeps). I have 95K miles on the 4x4 and 2x4 54K miles. The a/c is ice cold for both, in one I have the lake effect(water in condenser container and $$ to fix correctly), it drains too slow for amount of humidity produced. Look out for that if buying a second had jeep, and on the 4x4 take it up to 75-80 for 30 seconds, if small whistle noise in front transmission, then have it checked out, otherwise these Jeeps are a class act and they are a real good vehicle. The milage is great if not pushed too hard and the power is awsome for towing as well as quickness from a 4.7liter. I upgraded the Rear anti-sway bars on both jeeps to 1.25" from a stock 1/2". The difference is great for cornering and safety (addco makes them). So thumbs up if you get a good used jeep and get it checked out by a dealer. I like mine and recomend them. Not expensive for 4.7 liter power with luxury. The Japs 4x4s are pricey. Good for hwy, and trails, not the best on city for economy and a little bouncy ride but a tough truck and not too many things can go wrong on these things when cared for.

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee: 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Special EWdition is the Best

No doubt this is the best vehicle I have ever owned (age37). I test drove Dodge, Chevy, GMC, Ford, Mercedes, and Land Rover SUV's before my purchase of the 4.0 Grand Cherokee. I use it for cross country travel and getting around all year in the Colorado Rockies. I have been in deep snow, blizzards, off road rock trails, through streams, 11000 ft + passes in all kinds of weather and the 2004 Grand Cherokee performed flawlessly in all conditions.

On highway driving at 75 mph I average about 25-30. At 65 mph I average about 27 because only half the motor is used. Around town I average about 16. At high altitude on mountain roads, I use the lowest grade fuel and average about 17.

The milege is exceptionally good for a vehicle with so much capacity to perform and in fact the real world mileage exceeds most of the touted imports. It is possible to get very poor mileage with a 5.7 Hemi if one drives with foot to the floor however, that is a driver defect.

I have read critical remarks about the placement of the ignition key-that it can be damaged by being hit with the drivers knee-that would be some trick. I am 6'1'' and weight 220. It isn't close to being in my way. I have read critical remarks about the placement of the emergency break handle-well it very easy to use and it has never been in my way.

The Grand Cherokee is not in the same catagory as most vehicles described as SUV's and the lack of clarification confuses the public. It is not a soccer mom car. It is not an import want to be. It is built for five adults who want to go anywhere they want on or off road. It is a special purpose vehicle with extraordinary capacity on and off the road.

Current political correctness calls for an anti-suv view point and has promoted poorly informed reviewers to dismiss the Grand Cherokee 4WD without really understanding what the vehicle is designed for and what it can do.

The 2004 4.0 Jeep Grand Cherokee is a fantastic vehicle-a classic.

2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee: Finally Given Back...Yes !!!

A milk crate has more poise. This car is scary on a wet day on a negative camber...Properly Scary. The HEMI is all mouth and no trousers and guzzles petrol for no perceivable pick up in performance. With horse carts like this (i leased for 27 months), the Sebring (rented on vacation) last week it's no wonder this company hit the wall.

The car I bought does not match it's description at all. The thing is POS, and is nothing like it is in the photos, which don't even start to describe the underlying mechanical issues. There is nothing that Ebay can/will do to get your money back, and ultimately it's your own fault for buying the car on the internet in the first place.

I bought my '05 Grand Cherokee Limited about 6mo ago and love it. It has the 5.7 Hemi which has plenty of power to begin. ...but ad a flowmaster, k&n air filter and a superchip and hold on. Not to mention it has a higher tow rating than most full size 1/2 ton pickups. Also has Quatra-Drive II 4X4 system ...one of the best 4X4 systems on the market. All in all, I love this truck and highly recomend. Well the Hemi, Quatra-Drive II that is.

2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee: Excellent Value For the Money

This is the 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, however, it is loaded with the Limited edition options, a rarity in the Jeep marketplace. Leather, electric seats, V-8 motor, tow package, alloy 17" wheels, Infinity sound system, power accessories, electric sun/moon roof--this Jeep is a wonderful buy! Purchased with 80,000 original miles, garage kept and rarely if ever used in off-roading, this vehicle provides plenty of power for freeway driving and off road exploring, while providing 20-23 mpg on the highway. It seats 4 comfortably, and has plenty of cargo space for the weekend explorer's luggage or golf clubs. Acceleration is quick and shifting through the 5 speeds is smooth and comfortable, without the lurching found in some of the earlier years' 4-speed auto transmission models. While many of these grand Cherokees were traded in during the Cash For Clunkers Program, it remains the perfect vehicle for maintaining our ranch, and getting into the city, and many can still be found at very reasonable pricing. they are built tough, have good ground clearance, and it's not uncommon to find many on the road today with 150,000 + miles on them and still going strong. A good value for the money vehicle in my opinion.

He said it was garage kept and like new inside.

1.The drivers seat has been dyed to look like new.
2.The front door panels accross the top had been dyed because they were rubbed off. I took a rag to clean them and rubbed the dye right off.

He said it did'nt have any dings and scratches.

1. They were all over the place.

There was something (strange) about the Carfax report. It showed 62,194 on the vehicle the first 7 years. After that only 8,000 the next 4 years. It gave no explanation way. No work or anything after the first 7 years. Can you help me on this?

He said all electric components work.

1.I showed him the passenger rear door. It would not lock. He said it did. I believed him.

He said it has factory cold air. It was justed charged on 7/10/09. It stopped working 4 days after I bought it. I took it in and had it looked at. They said it has a leak in it. They should have new that when they charged the system.

I took a bus and a train to go to their place. I put down $500.00 that I was not going to get back. And they only gave me 24 hrs to change my mind. It should be at lease 30 days. I know it said As Is but should'nt there be also a law to protect me that says Buyer Be Ware when a description is not what its said or ment to be?

I have spent a few hundred dollars on this vehicle all ready that I could have spent on another vehicle on Ebay.
I know I spent to much for this vehicle but I believed them that this was one of a kind in mint condition.

I also e-mailed a letter to him asking for some help and explanning the problems.
