What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

I WAS TOLD THIS VEHICLE WAS A BODY OFF FRAME RESTORATION ABOUT 4-YEARS AGO! WHICH IN MY MIND THEY WOULD HAVE PUT EVERYTHING BACK AND MAKE THINGS AT LEAST WORK ! TAIL LIGHTS , BRAKE LIGHTS , REVERSE LIGHTS,LICENSE PLATE LIGHTS , DASH LIGHTS , FRONT PARKING LIGHTS DON'T WORK ! CONSOLE HAS A 2-SPEED POWERGLIDE INDICATOR AND TRANS IS A 3-SPEED TRANS. NO POWER LOOM TO CONSOLE WHICH MEANS NO REAR PASSENGER LIGHT , NO INDICATOR LIGHT , NO TRANS NEUTRAL LOCK OUT SWITCH , HEATER CONTROL DON'T WORK , RADIO DOESN'T WORK , FLOOR AIR VENTS HAVE NO CONTROL LEVERS TO OPERATE THEM . WINDSHIELD AND REAR WINDOW WERE INSTALLED IMPROPERLY BECAUSE THEY LEAK WATER. NO WINDSHIELD WASHER SYSTEM IN CAR. WINDSHIELD WASHER PUMP SHOT! WIPER SWITCH SHOT , LIGHT SWITCH SHOT !4-WAY FLASHERS DON'T WORK, TOOK OFF VALVE COVERS AND FOUND COMPLETE SLUG . FREEZE PLUGS LEAKING . INCORRECT MOTOR MOUNT WHERE INSTALLED. REAR SEAL LEAKING, TRANS LEAKING , WATER PUMP LEAKING . I HAD TO REMOVE MOTOR BECAUSE OF THE CARE I SAW THAT WAS TAKEN TO THIS VEHICLE. OIL PAN WAS FULL OF SLUDGE AND METAL PIECES. OIL PUMP WAS FULL OF METAL PARTICLES AND ORANGE PAINT. TRANS PAN WAS LOADED WITH SILVER RESIDUE . REAR END FLUID WAS BURNT . I CAN KEEP ON GOING HOW I GOT SCAMMED ! I HAD THIS CAR 40YEARS AGO. I LOVED IT. THAT'S WHY I WANTED ANOTHER ONE. THIS OWNER MADE CAR APPEALING WITH PICTURES ON E-BAY. I RECOMMEND IF YOU BUY A CAR ON E-BAY , GO OUT TO SEE AND DRIVE CAR B-4 GETTING RIPPED OFF LIKE I DID! THAT YOU E-BAY . SKIP

VEHICLE WAS NOT AS DESCIBED. I CONTACTED EBAY AND THE SELLER ABOUT RESOLUTION, AND RECEIVED NO ANSWER. I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS PURCHASE, AND I DON'T THINK EBAY HAS DONE ANYTHING ABOUT MY COMPLAINT. I WOULD BE VERY RELUNCTANT TO USE EBAY AGAIN TO PURCHASE ANYTHING. THIS WAS A TOTAL FRAUD, AND IT WOULD BE A CRIME TO LET THIS PERSON CONTINUE TO DO BUSINESS ON EBAY. I HAVE HAD NO ANSWER TO MY COMPLAINT AND PAYPAL WOULD NOT EVOLVE THEIRSELF WITH IT, EVEN THOUGH I PUT MY DOWN PAYMENT OF 2000.00 DOLLARS ON PAYPAL. AS I SAID I WOULD BE VERY RELUNCTANT TO USE EBAY AGAIN FOR A PURCHASE BECAUSE OF MY DISATISFACTION WITH THIS SELLER AND THE RESPONSE I RECEIVED FROM EBAY.

The person we comunicated with was very helpful in all ways. The pictures showed most of the good points about this car. the shifter was not installed right, had to go behind them and ajust linkage. rearend doesn't seem to be the right one, no pictures of the areas that were starting to blister and bubble. I expected better. people who sell on e-bay should take pictures of the good points and the bad. the discription didn't lie, just not enough info.

What a car to cruise in .This bad boy gets lots of attention and it is everything i wanted. We have cruised in the hot rod alot since i bought it,and man o man this thing brings me back to my high school days. The car itself of course is 40+ years old so the little comfort things do not come with these cars, but i think it is funny to have my kids wonder about the door locks and rolling down windows.

1967 Chevrolet Chevelle: WORDS - An IMPORTANT aspect of ALL listings
08/27/09

As perspective buyers it is of EXTREME SIGNIFICANCE that sellers fully and accurately describe & disclose ALL THE FACTS! Living fairly close to this seller I first called and spoke with him and asked straightforward questions that ALL would be buyers should ask. Simply put, the car WAS NOT as described as listed when I initially bid on & won it. As such, having been told that it had New Wheels, I found this NOT to be the case at all. These "New Wheels" had significant rust built up on the inside, even detectable on the outer sides of the wheels! The Original listing stated that a Brake job had been done within the last 100 miles. Strange but the Brake pedal went straight to the floorboard! I am an amicable person but Business IS Business and I take people at their Words till I find otherwise and they then lose credibility.
It is IMPERATIVE that sellers FULLY DISCLOSE ALL THE FACTS! Turns out the video is NOT taken here. I'm from here and know the area quite well. I had done my Homework and found that the pictures, description and all had basically been copied and pasted from when the seller bought the car about a year ago. THIS IS NOT RIGHT! Between the bad Brake job and so-called New Wheels that are actually not new at all, I then began scrutinizing this car and found damage not shown in any pics. Scratches on the trunk where the seller supposedly backed into his boat trailer! The body is fairly sound BUT it does have fairly significant issues with Rust all over the car.... around the wheel wells, around the windshield and on the hood etc. Bubbles in the paint evidenced the fact that a rusted car had been painted over. I DID eventually test drive the car after the seller added two bottles of Brake fluid and still, at best, had minimal brakes. Obviously the Brakes will need atttending to as will Rust all about the body.
As I finally did drive the car I must say that it does run STRONG but it did die on me when turning around in a parking lot. I believe the car has Ignition problems, from experience of having owned 2 SS 396s (a 67 & 68) along with a 67 GTO and a few other Muscle Cars. I am very glad that I live fairly close and did not have to travel substantial distance because I would have undoubtedly been even more disappointed than I already was.
Now that I have evaluated the car I would bid on it again however knowing what I DO KNOW will need to be done, I will only bid so much - and that's it.
I am not really surprised by what transpired but I am somewhat let down cause I had hoped it would be more like initially described. The buyer and I mutually agreed to forego the transaction. People - when you go to buy any used car I urge you to ask questions however we ONLY have sellers' WORDS to go by. As with any other eBay trabsaction, an item is only as good as disclosed and I certainly have no ill will toward the seller but he should have been more forthright with me. Afterall, no one wants to spend a significant amount of money on an item NOT as previously described! Again - we mutually agreed to cancel, forego, this transaction. Good Luck to all but I feel it only right that you should know what you are bidding on and getting into.

DID NOT DISCRIBE THE CAR AS IT WAS.I TALKED TO HIM AND HE MORE LESS LAUGHED IN MY FACE.AT THIS TIME I WONT BUY ANOTHER CAR OFF EBAY BECAUSE THERE IS NO PROTECTION FOR THE BUYER ON CLASSIC CARS. THIS GUY SHOULD BE BANDED FROM EBAY. MONEY COMES TO HARD.
