What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

1969 Chevrolet Camaro: Purchase of 1969 Camaro

I've been looking for a 1969 Camaro that would be more than just a daily driver yet not a show car. I'm in a car club and already have restored a 1958 Chev pick-up so I know a little about what makes a decent quality car.

The seller advertised the features of the car but provided little information on the condition or functionality of the accessories. He said be "was all over the car" before he purchased it. He also stated it was a good driver and had newer paint. He did state the dash board padding needed replacement. I would have preferred to have the car inspected by a third party but only hours remained on the auction so I submitted a bid based on the telecons with the seller.

When the car arrived we had trouble starting it. I took several days of trouble shooting to figure out that a least five vacuum lines affecting the engine had been cut or disconnected. Also the carburator was fouled and required cleaning. I also discovered the seat belts were missing, as was the horns. The doors that close over the headlights did not operate properly - they would open but not close. The alternator and temperature warning lights are inoperative. The trunk collected water when I washed the car as the rear tail lights had been re-installed without gaskets.

I asked the seller about the missing seat belts and he stated that a car of that age in Michigan did not require them. He said he would try to find some used ones and send them to me. I felt they should have been added before the sale as it is factory equipment and also a safety issue. It will cost around $250 to replace the seat belts.

Prior to shipment of the car from Michigan to Arizona I asked the seller to insure that all the fluid levels were topped off I case I decided to drive it to my house (about 80 miles from Phoenix where the car could have been dropped off.) I decided to pay extra to have it delivered to my house and a good thing I did. The power steering unit was bone dry of fluid. Also the motor oil was pitch black indicating it was overdue for a change.

I gave the seller a positive rating based on my first impression of the car after delivery. If I had it to do over I would give him a "Neutral" rating as he was not as straight forward with the condition of the car as he should have been. My regret is I did not have a third-party inspection. That report would have probably kept me from bidding. The car will take hundreds of dollars and quite a bit of time to bring it to a "driver's plus" condition.

The old adage: Buyer Beware is true in this case.

I like the fact that you can go straight to the year model in lieu of searching thru all items when your really only looking for a certain year model.

1967 Chevrolet Camaro: Raphael Scolari is a thief who sold a junk car
11/06/09
• Overall Satisfaction:
• Performance:
• Reliability:

• Quality and Craftsmanship:
Raphael Scolari of 439 Little Silver Point Rd, Little Silver New Jersey, is a thief and a liar.

Raphael sold this car as "Fully Restored from the ground up".

When the car arrived on the transporter it would not start. The truckers spent 45 minutes under the hood trying to start Raphael's "Fully Restored Camaro with a new motor".

When I opened the trunk to check for spare parts Raphael said were there, I discovered the trunk lock was broken. It had been jimmied open with a screwdriver at some time. The trunk lock on Raphael Scolari's "Fully Restored from the ground up" camaro was held on with a 30 cent hose clamp. The mounting surface for the trunk lock is destroyed and will require a bodyman to fix it. Raphael had to know the trunk lock was broken because he put the car parts in the trunk. The liar Raphael Scolari knew the trunk lock was broken when he wrote his description of "Fully Restored Car".

I thought the truckers fixed the starting problem. After I got the car home I discovered I was wrong. Raphael Scolari's "Fully Restored" camaro does not start reliably. The starter can click up to 20 times before it finally engages. Raphael Scolari must have known this because the car has a new starter. I think he put the new starter on in an attempt to fix the starting problem. The liar Raphael knew the car had a starting problem when he wrote his "Car is Fully Restored" description.

Then I made the mistake of locking the car up. When I tried to unlock the car I discovered none of the keys fit! Raphael Scolari sold a car with no keys for the doors! What dictionary defines a "Fully Restored Car" as a car with no door keys? How could Raphael not know the keys didn't fit in the door? Raphael had to be lying when he wrote his description of "Fully Restored Car".

There is an ear piercing squeeking coming from the dashboard area. It is so loud you want to get out of the car and leave. In his description of the car Raphael wrote he took the car on a 2 1/2 hour trip. That means Raphael must have listened to the squeeking for 2 1/2 hours. The liar Raphael said nothing about a squeeking dashboard in the description of the car.

This car was supposed to be a present for my wife. I take her to get the car and it won't even start. Then the door and trunk locks are broken.

Do you know what it was like to look in my wife's face telling her the car was hers, then learning that the trunk is broken, the doors can't be locked and unlocked, and the car does not start reliably? It was supposed to be her work car. How can she use a car that does not start reliably for work? How can she store her work material in a car that cannot be locked up?

When I contacted the liar and thief Raphael Scolari about the problems he basically told me "too bad". He said he would pay for a new battery. That did nothing for the starting problems.

I filed a complaint with Ebay about Raphael Scolari and then I told him about it. Raphael Scolari's attitude was that he wasn't worried because Ebay doesn't do anything to frauds, so why didn't I stop bothering him?

Raphael Scolari is a thief. He knowingly sold a car with problems as a "Fully Restored Car". When he was contacted about the problems, he told the buyer "too bad" and to go away.

Raphael Scolari has no pride and he has no integrity. He is a liar and a thief who will steal your money and laugh when you call him about it.

I got a used Camaro with only 45,450 kms on it. It runs great and sits higher than a Mustang. I recomend this car especially if you live out in the country, because it does great on and off road. Also, it has a great speaker system, you'll never need to upgrade.

I don't comprehend the product review. I bought what I wanted. It is not a new product. A review of the seller would be a performance review with meaning.
The car is what is is! It will take some time to discover it's "reliability", it performs as it should. The audio system should have been repaired prior to the sale, but that is what I expect from a dealer!

I always wanted to build a muscle car of my own. I've been looking at the auto traders for years, made plenty of calls, but never bought anything. I've been on ebay for almost a decade and have had an overall good experience. Ebay allowed me to find a car, close to me that i could trailer back, for a price that I think is well worth the money. This car was exactly what i was looking for, whole lotta ruff but solid where it counts, caged, tubed, half striped down, that runs and drives. I couldn't ask for anything more.

1972 Chevrolet Camaro: Best car to own

all 70 to 73 Camaros are worthy project cars. We all know you have to keep working on hotrods... a good owner is never 100% satisfied, always wants to make it a little better every time you get back home... little faster, more interior parts, different paint scheme... always something going on

This is the car that chose me. I remember the giant oval grill from when I was a child, on a 73 camaro, and when I finally saw another one again at the age of 14, I bought it... have had several of these over the years, and will probably have one until the day I die...
