BMW 8-Series

I've been wanting this far for the past 3 years. And finally got it, there is nothing that I did not like about the car. I like everything about it.
The only SUPER CAR that I could afford (lol).
But I have some suggestions before you're thinking buying one of these.

DO NOT TRUST THE SELLER THAT CLAIMED THE CAR IS IN GOOD MECHANICALLY CONDITION OR THE CAR IS ALREADY INSPECTED, THAT IS A LIE. (THE CAR IS SOLD "AS IS")
HAVE SOMEONE INSPECT THE CAR. MAKING SURE NOTHING WRONG WITH IT.
YOU GOT TO TEST DRIVE AND SEE THE CAR IN PERSON BEFORE MAKE ANY BID OR PURCHASE.
THE BOTTOM LINE IS INSPECT, SEE THE CAR, AND TEST DRIVE BEFORE MAKING ANY PURCHASE.

Overall in good shape. Some minor issues, but expected given the age of the car. BMW 8-series were WAY ahead of their time in technology and design. This is a project car...not a daily driver where I plan to spend years getting everything back to like new.

The 8 series had a somewhat limited production cycle and is becoming a rarity even though its not old enough to be considered a classic. This vehicle was designed to travel long distances at high speed in comfort and it exceeds the design objectives. Although repairs and parts for replacements are expensive this has proven to be a very durable vehicle mechanically and appearance-wise. Normal maintenance costs have been low. The only down-side I have noticed is the limited space and difficulty of access to the rear seats.

This car is truly in amazing condition. I am extremely happy. The car performce like a new car, drives well, and all the oiptions still work properly.

I bought my Canadian 6 speed on e-bay and could not be happier. I bought mine sight unseen from a private seller without an inspection and although I was very lucky I would not suggest anyone do the same. Fortunately with a car like this the majority of owners are/were more responsible about upkeep. You can put together a checklist for pre-purchase inspection based on the info here: http://www.e31faq.com/ If you buy one that has been cared for you are getting a marvel of automotive engineering for a song at todays prices. I have had mine for three years and only seen one other on the road. How is that for exclusive ownership? You will have a top of the line car for the price of a couple of four wheelers. Maintenance is not as expensive as some would have you believe, however...lets face it, to keep any car in showroom condition it is going to cost money. Please budget for it to keep these classics alive and well if you do buy one. There is a strong support community of owners on the net who are more then happy to help in times of need and for you to learn all about your car.

A rare car, that was very expensive when new, has dropped in market price and still represents the very best in limited edition automobiles. The car will probably hold it's market price and perhaps be an in demand collector car in the not to distant future.
