What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

2001 BMW 3-Series: 2001 BMW 325 CI "Ultimate Driving Machine"

• Overall Satisfaction:
I’m writing this review to provide potential owners with a real story of what I have experienced with my BMW and some general things to keep in mind.
First I would like to say that I’ve driven a ton of cars and this one is VERY impressive. My 2001 BMW was purchased after I Carmaxed a troubled 2001 Mitsubishi Galant. Now I’m by no means rich, but after looking through an auto trader I found that BMW aren’t as expensive as people make them out to be. The trick that I later found is that someone can give you a Ferrari; however it might cost you over $20k a year to maintain. I hope you see my meaning. Anyways, I brought the car used with 67k miles on it and have driven it practically trouble free ever since. It’s important for futures owners to realize that a BMW is just a car. If you’re handy you can do a lot of the work yourself, with the help of a few online forums. For example most BMW 3 series’ conveniently wear out the control arm bushings; this is a small part under the car that the dealer usually charges $1000 to do, but can be done at home in the >$400 range. An oil change at BMW runs over $70 where as you can do it yourself for half the price.
-Driving experience- The BMW 325CI is one sharp looking car. The coupe has beautiful lines and a nice style that’s sure to grab attention. It’s no speed demon though, its 2.5l inline 6 does 0-60 in around 7.7sec with the 5sp manual. Kicking out a decent 184 hp puts it as an average accelerator in my opinion. Seeing that a Nissan Maxima, or Acura TL-S would knock about a second off that 0-60 time. That’s kind of disheartening, but this car was built for luxury. The inside offers easy to read gauges and comfortable seating. However the back seat is a pain to access and it’s not too big.

All in all this is a solid car to have and enjoy. The repairs are pricey, but the comfort and quality is equally yoked.

1989 BMW 3-Series: Solid as a rock with timeless, no nonsense styling!

These are the cars that BMW built their reputation on. Most (during a recent poll) decided the 1989 model was the year to own due to the more modern plastic bumpers coupled with it being the last year of the non-airbag models. Craftmanship is high on these cars and they only got better as the E30 body style continued on through 1991. Most people prefer the 325i engine as opposed to the 325e or 318i due to the greater performance, although with today's gas prices the e (eta as it is called)and 318 engined cars make for great gas misers! These "i" engined cars can be absolutely like a train on rails with the correct suspension modifications, and a ECU chip can add up to 20 or so ponies to the 168HP engine. Performance minded individuals will prefer the 260 Getgag 5-speed transmission over and automatic. If you are considering one, maintenance history is a must, especially that of timing belt changes. These cars are maintenance intensive, so find a good independent BMW trained mechanic and keep up with your car's needs. Ownership is a rewarding experience given you chose the right car, so stay away from rustbuckets and cars in need of so-called "TLC" as claimed by the selling owners. Paying the price to get the "best of the best" is well worth the cost. TRUST me on this one. I own the top of the line 325is version. Very sporty with spoilers front and rear, BBS basketweave wheels, higher rated suspension, BMW sport seats (often falsely claimed "Recaro"), MTech steering wheel, and limited slip differential. Mated with the 5-speed, this car is very satifying and performance oriented. The E30 price range has to be one of the widest of any cars available today. You can literally pay $500 to over $20K for the best M3 version. I wouldn't recommend any priced under $2500 as they are usually really beat up, rusty, in need of work, or all of the above. Don't be afraid of so-called "high mileage", as propperly maintained engines are quite capable of 300K miles (my 1984 3325e had 286K miles and is still going strong).

I HAVE HAD THIS SUPER NICE BMW INSPECTED BY A LICENSED MECHANIC AND EVERYTHING IS IN PROPER WORKING ORDER INCLUDING ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION. THIS BMW IS READY FOR SOMEONE TO JUMP RIGHT IN AND ENJOY THIS This is the exact wording from their add. When my son took it to the dealer for an oil change this is what the mechanics from Levin BMW said the car needed.Found front end links bad. Found lower control arm bushings loose. Found rear coil springs cracked. Found mismatched tires. Brian was going to supply a second key and new hood decal but after 3 or 4 phone conversation never did anything. I still have not received the title and it has been 30 days and he collected the Indiana sales tax also so I am out $13,774 and have a car my son cannot drive legally in Indiana.

1987 BMW 3-Series: Good little car

Positive) Its a driver's car. I've heard of the famed BMW handling and now I can confirm it. The inline 6 purrs. The 5 speed shifts clean and tight. It's from the pre-traction control computer enhanced era so its just you and the car which i love. Mechanically its solid and for the year and mileage I still average over 25 mpg which is what I would get from a brand new 3 series.

Negative) Its a late 80s german car so its going to have its quirky electrical issues, no escaping that. Also, as the case with mine, the e30 series unfortunately are known for some bad paint issues. For a sedan, its small enough to be obnoxiousness. If it had one or two more inches in the back, this car would be super practical. As it is, I hope your rear seat passengers are small and or thin individuals. But then again you probably are not buying this car as a family sedan.

Bottom Line) I'm very happy to own and drive a e30 era 3 series. I plan on holding on to this one for a very very very long time.

The vehicle was not fully prepared for sale. Transaction cancelled by mutual consent. The 2007 BMW 335i is a marvelous car. Comfortable, and very quick. The damage on this one was not fully repaired and I returned it to seller on 12/05/2009. He does have a body shop to finish preparing it for sale.

I won on auction a BMW 325 from a selller, as it turned out it was the worse transaction in over 500. The sell remains an Ebay member and Ebay has done nothing to protect the rest of the Ebay community from this predator. After all when people loose money on Ebay it makes no difference to their bottom line. This is the very reason that it is becoming less and less safe to do business on Ebay. If Ebay was less interested in them selves and more interested in protecting us, everyone would be happier. Happy Holidays

1999 BMW 3-Series: Love this car!

For the money, this is a great car! I have driven mine for 6 years, with just a couple routine repairs needed. The oil changes are pricey ($50-80), but it's worth it for a car I am sure will run for at least 200k miles (I believe this because I used to have an older model of the almost exact same car, and it was still going strong at 260k, with NO maintenance or upkeep whatsoever- I abused that car). My '99 requires mid-grade fuel, but I put in premium because it runs better on it. I don't think it is a big deal; it is only an extra ten to twenty cents per gallon, making it a whopping $1.50 to $3.00 more per fill up. I get awesome gas mileage for a V6. I average 31-33 miles per gallon in the city. I do have a manual transmission, and I do not drive aggressively (racing to stop lights, etc.), which helps my mileage. Even when my husband drives it, he gets at least 29 miles per gallon. It handles beautifully and is a pleasure to drive. I live in northern Illinois, and it drives great in the snow. It does not have a high ground clearance, so I can't drive in deep snow, but it does not skid on ice or shallow snow. The only reason I would ever get a different car is because mine is 2 doors, and if I had kids it would be a hassle getting a car seat in and out of the car.
