What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

I went to work for a Toyota dealership over a year ago in Md. as a part time salesman. I sold 60? Toyota's in 6 months I had a lot of fun doing it, and not being a "people person" I quickly "burned out" still also maintaining a full time job. After about a 3 month "vacation" the GM called me back and offered me a part time used car manager position-so I took it. For about four months now I've been appraising used cars and have gotten pretty good at it. Only a couple of small losses. ALL manufactures will have some bugs. When I appraise domestics it's always lower than Toyota or Honda. When I appraise domestic trucks and the customer sees my offer it's like they want to get me!!Hey you bought it not me!!Before I came to work at Toyota I would've never bought a foreign car.NEVER. Until I went to the service bay and saw a Tacoma before it was called a Tacoma with 600k miles on it and I talked to the customer who told me that that engine had never been taken apart! a four cylinder! How many Chevy's I went through barely getting a 100k miles on it, or after spending thousands of dollars to get there. And you see Toyota's with 100k,200k,300k miles on them with all original drive trains! Last February I got a 06 double cab Ltd tundra optioned out-plus another couple of grand in TRD parts and even though it's only got 8k miles it-not one problem. Out of all the vehicles I've sold 1 Tacoma had a pin hole leak in the radiator from the factory. Anytime I've seen my other customers they've been happy or with someone else buying a Toyota. Yesterday 2/19/2007 I took out a 2007 double cab limited 5.7 6spd tundra, and I gotta tell you I'm trading in my 06!!This is a truck!!!FOR ALL YOU DOMESTIC GUYS/GIRLS OUT THERE-JUST TEST DRIVE IT IT MAY SAVE YOU ALOT OF MONEY DOWN THE ROAD AND PUT A SMILE ON YOURE FACE EVERYTIME YOU GET IN IT.REMEMBER I DRIVE TRADES-GO DRIVE IT!!!!!!AND ITS MADE RIGHT HERE IN KENTUCKY

2004 Toyota Tundra: Double Cab great for growing family

I purchased my Tundra Double Cab new from the dealer in 2004. My kids were getting bigger and our family needed more room that our Ford Ranger had. We have taken many long trips in it as well as the daily commute to work. There are some good things, some minor annoyances but overall I'm happy with it.

Pros:
Reliability - In three years I've not had one single mechanical issue. All I've done is routine maintenance and replace tires. Not so much as an alignment so far in 55K miles.
Comfort - Road trips are easy in the comfortable seats. There are four 12 volt outlets for everyone's electronic gismos which is nice too. The cab is quiet (without kids anyway.) My wife comments that it is quieter than her Honda Accord.
Towing - Although not the highest in its class, I'm not towing construction machinery. It worked great pulling a 10x6 trailer stacked floor to ceiling with camping gear for 25 Boy Scouts. It handled the North Carolina Mountains just fine.
Value for the money - Over time I've noticed that the amount I have left to pay has always been less than the book value. This says to me that this truck is holding its value very well.
Storage - The center console is cavernous! There are two compartments - the top for pens, tire gage, etc and the lower section is HUGE for bulky items like a three ring binder, loads of CD/DVD cases, snacks, whatever. The glove box is average but sufficient to hold the manual and maintenance records. Every door has a large map pocket (AKA trash receptacle.)

Cons:
Turning radius - it took me a long time to learn how to park this truck. You may also want to look at bumper to bumper length if you plan on putting it into your garage. It barely fits in mine.
Manufacturer's tire pressure recommendation - it’s bogus. The manufacturer recommends a tire pressure on the door jam that, wile providing an almost car-like ride, will burn off the corners of the front tires. Keep the pressure around 34lbs to save tire life.

Overall, I'm very happy with my Tundra and would buy it again. I've looked at the new 2007 models but I still like my 2004 better.

2005 Toyota Tundra: 4x4 Limited Access Cab Stepside

My Tundra purchase was my first ebay transaction and though hesitant at first dealing with an unknown dealer in the USA, it turned out fantastic. The truck was as good as advertised and continues to be. The whole ebay experience went like clockwork. You get a good relationship going with the dealer and they bend over backwards for you, they were great ebayers for sure. I have had the '05 for about 2-1/2 yrs now and have not regretted the purchase.
The 4.7 has much better performance than my previous 5.7 Chevy. There have been no problems at all and the regular maintenance has been a breeze. My Tundra has been the most reliable vehicle that I have owned and I have had the Ford's & Chevy's.
Though not really enough to affect my ratings I do wish the front seats could be raised to support the calves a bit more. The primary use is within the city and occasional a highway jaunt. I don't keep track of the mileage anymore but hey it's a truck . Comfortable and easy to drive on the long trips. The interior sound proofing is superb so when the tunes aren't playing you have some real good quiet time as the exterior noises really do not penetrate.
The access cab does not provide enough room in the back for anyone larger than a child so the full 4 door version may be a better set up if you have kids or adults riding in the back. I also have towed a 24ft & a 29ft travel trailer with it. You know when you have 5100lbs on the back but with overdrive off I was very impressed with the towing power the 4.7 puts out. The truck payload could be better but if you watch that and take it easy you will not have any problems. Oh yeah make sure you get the necessary WDH and anti-sway bars to help level the load if towing.
Very very happy with the Tundra. I highly recommend the brand. Would like to upgrade the trailer to a 5'er and would not hesitate buying a new Tundra at all providing it had the proper equipment to handle a larger 5th wheel. I have only talked to a few other Tundra owners and they all have excellent comments to say. Power, comfort, reliability and quality, you pretty much get the whole package with the Toyota Tundra.

The vehicle was about what we expected based on the description. There was one issue with the tires they were 8 years old the truck was only four. I did not hire an inspector to do a thorough look over. The unexpected things were minor. The sellers were very professional and easy to work with regarding the transaction. They contacted us quickly and were easy to work with regarding payment and delivery. Based on the inspection as a whole the vehicle is a good one, at a good price. I am going to keep them in my favorites for future reference.
The minor stuff dry rotted wipers and tires. The prep very good in the engine compartment. The under carriage had heavy mud around the exhaust and drive shaft.

I have driven a Tundra for 9 years, and three weeks ago it was totaled out, but was tuff enough that none of us was hurt!!! When I went to replace it, I replaced it with another Tundra! I had 150,000 miles on my other one, and I had planned to drive it a bunch more, so I'll have many more wonderful miles in a Tundra!

It's a great looking truck. It has an immense amount of power and towing capacity. The safety features are nice, but it's also nice that you can turn them off if you want to play in the dirt. I researched a lot of trucks and these held their value the best and had most of the best features that you want. Plus, it's just a great-looking truck. I do wish the bed was a bit longer, but that's what you give up when you've got the enormous double cab.
