1982 Pontiac Trans Am: Trip To FL For A Classic

08/05/08
• Overall Satisfaction:
This car is a classic. It is reliable, easy to maintain and looks good going down the road.

I bought this car due to the fact that it is a very good muscle car. It has great lines, very comfortable interior and high horsepower potential.

The interior is described as a four person, but anyone familiar with the car knows that the back seats are more decorative than functional, especially if the driver or passenger is over 5'8. You could install an infant seat, but having it face backwards (as it should) makes removing the child a little awkward (unless you go in through the rear hatch, lol). But while in transit, the passenger could easily access the seat if positioned behind the driver.

Surprisingly, for a sports car, it has a lot of room for hauling things inside with the rear seats laid down. And, for the front occupants, there is ample leg room for anyone up to 6'4. With the front seats laid back, you can completely stretch out.

A downside is that there are no cup holders built into the car. You can purchase window mounted slide-ins, but other than that you are holding it.

Overall, if you are in to classic American muscle cars that also have great external lines, then an early 80's Trans Am would be for you.
