Mazda RX-7

Won bid. Paid $500 deposit. Seller re-listed and re-sold the exact same car on Ebay[ exactly the same ad and Ebay was clueless ] and refused to return deposit. Ebay and Paypal were useless. Brings new meaning to buyer beware.

seller lied to me about car having a title, only had bill of sale. Had to deal with ebay to give me a my money back because seller spent deposit before transaction was complete so over all hated my experience buying a car on ebay because of one person thanks

Seller advertised top of the line model number (GSL) which means a different suspension and braking package. When queried about it, seller initially confirmed the model number. Seller only admitted after time to cancel order had passed. Notified eBay who took no action and has recorded unpaid item against me. Bad experience.

This is not the first time that I have purchased a vehicle on E-Bay, but it was the one that turned out the best. I asked questions during the bidding process, did my research, checked shipping rates and was the successful bidder. The seller and I remained in correspondence during the transition of monies and coordinating the shipping of the car. Everything went very well and I am completely satisfied.

My experience with this person was not good. He went on vacation in the middle of the transaction. I had to switch everything around after making all the necessary arrangements. Either he should have taken vacation after the transaction was done or sold the vehicle after his vacation. The car sounded like it was in good shape. Not. The windshield wipers didn't work, and the back lights didn't work. I would not buy anything else from this person or recommend anyone to him.

Performance No other engine can produce the HP/Liter of a Rotary. That being said even in stock confgiuration they are quick enough to scare you and handle so well it's almost impossible to loose control no matter how hard you push it. with a stopping distance that is better than nearly all new abs equipped vehicles. I've owned mine for ten years never took to a shop. I maintain it myself and still get 17 city 27 hwy mpg (with cruise set at 80mph)
Reliability mine has 204802 miles I drive it everyday and take it on 1000 miles plus trips. If you take care of it it will take care of you. So if you get one get on a forum and ask people how to take care of it. They are unique and require attention to different details.
Comfort I put the turbo II seats in mine and when my back hurts after a hard day I take a book or magazine out to car just to sit in seat. Always take it on long trips If possible
Quality Craft. Insturments controls all at your finger tips and where you'd expect them. Common issues often encountered are wiper switches exterior door handles power antenna. My cars an 86 and has zero rattles ect.

So I purchased a 1991 Mazda RX7 convertible from ebay member thor280 and as soon as I bought it, the problems began. He starts to call me and text me at 4:00AM demanding that we do the transaction outside ebay. I come to find out he is a dealer claiming to be a private seller. He refused to sell me the car unless I paid him the ebays seller fees. What a liar and a theif. My suggestion is that you stay away from this seller. I have also found out that he has multiple accounts on ebay and his other name is scooter21170. By all means he is bad news.

These cars are a real hoot to drive, look real good and are fairly practical for a 2 seater. The gas mileage is not to good though 13-17 town--- 21-25 highway. If you like to feel the fun this is the car for you.

I took a car that had been sitting for 19 years and completely rebuilt it with stock parts save the radio, shocks and the slave and master cylinder. It took almost a year but the results have been great! Performance is incredible as it starts right up regardless of temperature. Once you get in the seats they're very comfortable. It purrs like a kitten out on the open road. The only down side has been the air intake valve. Every once in a while it sticks. I have the 10-year anniversary edition in Renaissance Red. Total investment was approximately $6500. Not bad for a keeper.
