I just purchased a used 2006 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon SWB model with 6 spd manual transmission.
I go 4 wheeling monthly and own 5 other jeeps and this model is a very good jeep. Its rides very smooth on the freeway and is a joy to drive with cruise control and air conditioning with the factory hardtop. Its almost a car like ride instead of a off road vehicle.
I would recommend this jeep for anyone getting into off-roading cause its has the bulletproof inline 6 cyl used by jeep since the 60's. The new model has a v6 and the torque is lacking at 2000 rpm and below. the 6 spd makes for no lugging and always has the right gear for the situation. Plus mine is Flame Red, a cool color for a jeep. makes me feel like a fireman with a old cj-3b with firefighting equipment.

This is the 2nd Jeep that I have owned and I love it! Rough and ready to go anywhere you want to take it! The Golden Eagle package makes the Jeep look great too!

What can I say, it's a jeep and a blast to drive, tuns on a dime and has great low end power.The unlimited (LJ) is much more stable then the standard Wrangled and has more usable room. but is not as refined as the new unlimited. but hey it was $20,000 Les then the new models.

I dislike the rough ride; however, I love that you can let the top down on a pretty day or shift the vehicle into four wheel drive to get out of a tough situation. I carried this vehicle back home on a Uhaul tow dolly, when I got home and tried to back off the dolly the rear wheels just spun in the gravel so I shifted into four wheel drive and problem solved. I bought this vehicle because of the rugged nature of a jeep, the simplicity of taking the top down, the low miles, and the good price.

love the jeep, goes almost anywhere your crazy enough to take it. It rides a bit rough but it is a jeep after all. It also doesn't have the power accessories I'm used to like power windows and locks etc (yet). It's meant to go just about anywhere and survive the abuse. Want a soft ride and plush interior, then get a explorer or blazer or hummer wannabe or any other light duty suv from nissan honda toyota or whatever for the ride, but don't cry to me about not going off road very well.

I purchased a 2006 jeep with a salvaged theft title, the stolen parts were replaced before I purchased it, when I got it, it was better than before. New tires and rims, a 2-in lift kit. I paid 12,000 for a vehicle that Blue Books out at 18,000 +, I would make this purchase again. ebay is the way to go when looking for a great deal on a good vehicle. The only problem now is I cant stop looking on ebay for more stuff for my new jeep.

I have been looking for this series of Jeep in the color I bought.The Jeep itself is one of a kind here up north since the Black Golden Eagle has been limited in its production.I have to say having CJ's in the past that this vehicle is the BEST I have owned so far.The ride is very smooth and forgiving even in the roughest areas in the country for road damage due to the harsh winter we've had.The outside noise even at highway speeds is minimal due to the newer types of soft-tops available [mine is factory).The interior has been revamped and is very user friendly unlike the older versions.All in all I am pleased and proud to have an American Icon....THE JEEEP....Fun __Sporty__Luxurious -----What else can one want.
