2005 Jeep Wrangler: 2005 Jeep
12/04/08
I would like to thank ebay for fianlly opening the door for communication, because the Good Lord knows that doesn't happen easily enough. I have been an ebay member for four to five years, and I have 100% feedback. I also introduced my mother to ebay shortly after I got involved. I have always had positive experiences on ebay and my Jeep was one of the best buying experieces ever.
However, I will never buy anything off of ebay for over twenty dollars EVER AGAIN. Within two weeks from purchasing my Jeep, my mother bought a car over ebay for ten thousand dollars and never received her car. When she contacted ebay, their customer service rep was rude and uninformed.
I learned that ebay's VPP isn't worth the paper it is written on. Ebay will not stand behind their website, or protect their buyers, no matter what they boast. Ebay has even went so far as to go back and edit the origional ad in an effort to cover their asses. All this activity has been documented.
But alas, ebay has stupidly decided to con the wrong woman, and they obviously don't know my mother, or her friends. Mom is still tight with a few people in Washington, including my bother who is an FBI agent. I think ebay is about to get some free publicity, although it won't be the kind they are looking for.
We know now that ebay does not monitor their ads, or back the victims of scams on their website. My mother is sixty-eight years old and she has never ripped anyone off. And ebay is the first to rip her off. But this issue is a long way from over, and when the dust has settled, my mom will probably own ebay.
I certainly hope ebay is monitoring things more closely today. Otherwise this review is going to be posted for all their customers to read and learn the truth. Beware folks. Ebay is all show - and no go.
Just remember - you contacted me about my ebay experiences. Stealing ten thousand bucks from my Mom causes some harsh feelings. I'm sure you understand. Just put yourself in my shoes.
I earnesly hope this catches someone's attention who counts. Otherwise ebay is in for some free publicity, although I don't think it's the type of publicity they want.
Have a nice day.
