2007 Honda Element: Fun to drive!

06/30/07
• Overall Satisfaction:
The amount of safety features is amazing. I love the floor without the carpeting. Easy to keep clean. I get good gas milege. (26 mpg city, almost 30 highway) Too many standard features to list. Tons of space behind the driver's and passenger's front seats. I bought it for the looks but, I'll keep it because of the quality. One thing I wish was different is the small amount of weight it can carry. (650 lbs. total) That is not enough.

We bought our 2nd family Element (2007) in June of this year for our son, our first is a 2006. We love these vehicles because of there flexibility and 4WD. Both vehicles are in use by our children after they graduated from college in snowy South Dakota. We love these vehicles!

My first Honda! Always wanted one of these Honda Elements! Finally found a nice unit at at nice price and close to home. Love the flexibility of the Element with the manual transmission and the 4WD. It revs a bit high in 5th gear but still cruses right down the road and gets good mileage. If you go to the Honda owners web site you will see that a 6th gear can be put in the Element for better mileage and low RPM's. Its a ball to drive and gets around great in the snow!! My college kids have basically stolen this Element so I have started my search for another. Wish me luck!!

Have owned for six years, and frankly the only car I have ever kept before I paid it off, and now a year after! I have only done the required maintenance, no other issues.

2007 Honda Element: Element SC

Only reason I gave the "performance" and "comfort" categories less than a 5. I wish it had more HP and leather heated seats would be nice. Having said that, the car is awesome. BETTER than I expected. The only concern I have will be NY/Vt. winters. We'll see. I've always said the Element could be redesigned to be driveable. Looks like someone at Honda was paying attention. The reaction to hearing I brought an Element is funny. Mostly, "Why?". So far, after seeing the car not one person has asked "why?" again.
Hope that helps

2007 Honda Element: 2007 Honda Element (Salvaged)

05/03/09
• Overall Satisfaction:
I bought this car a month ago. I was nervous about buying a car from out of state with a "salvage" title that I had never seen or driven. I had a family member who lived near buy check it out first. When I first drove the car the air bag warning light was on and the A/C wasn't working. I took it into my local dealer who discovered that the car had been wrecked in the front end (the seller had only told me about the back end) and whoever fixed it had done so as cheaply as possible which included NOT fixing the seatbelt or airbag and altering the wiring to disable the warning light so it would never come on and nobody would ever know. The botched wiring had also caused the A/C to not work. A back up system caused the light to come on anyway. Although I bought the car "as is/without warrant" the owner of the car lot covered the repairs. Everything got fixed and I now love my Element. It drives great and is very comfortable. I can roll my bike right into the back standing up if I lower the seat a bit. It is the perfect car for me. One word of advice: Pay for the inspection before you buy it and make sure you get a spare key. Mine just had one key and it cost $125 to make another one.

2007 Honda Element: 2007 tangerine dream

This is not a car for a big family. i am using it as a work truck as it has so much useable space. rear seats can be easily removed. it just looks tough unlike the honda crv which is more family oriented. Not a car for family as rear doors can only be opened when front doors are open so i guess it can become a pain for rear passengers to wait for you to open your door. i got the base lx model that has exact same engine and saftey systems, just not so great stereo which i am upgrading.

2007 Honda Element: 2007 Honda Element

12/16/08
• Overall Satisfaction:
Unique design packs a lot of functionality into a versatile vehicle with a small footprint. This functionality led me to buy the vehicle. That said, it is not a very good vehicle for the highways of South Texas. Above 60 mph, it gets loud. Above 65 mph, it gets very loud. The riders feel every little motion. The rear seat riders, if prone to motion sickness, will not be happy with their ride experience on windy days.
It is comfortable enough for most people and the Honda craftsmanship is good. There are plenty of cheap plastic parts in this vehicle that frankly, is not befitting of Honda Motor Corporation.
