I just purchased this Accord from Ebay. It is exactly what I was looking for. It has very low miles ( 37,600 ) and rides and looks new. I pretty much knew before I got this car how it would handle because I had owned a 2000 Acura 3.2 TL before, and the Acura and the Accord Coupe are built in the same factory with the same frame. There's little difference. The Acura is heavier and a little longer, plus better sound insulated, so the road noise is less than the Honda. The Coupe's handling is precise and tight, the steering is good. The V-6 performance is great. It doesn't snap your head back but moves you forward in a smooth and brisk manner. A very quiet and refined engine. The seats are comfortable but even at 37.6K miles, the leather is showing minor signs of wear. I think Honda uses a poor grade of leather and these will either need replacing or re-covering in 50K miles or so. The car sits low to the ground, so access and egress requires a bit of stooping and bending. The brakes are not great. They work but are a little mushy and do not stop you fast. I'll probably upgrade these when it's time for new pads. The car is a terrific buy for 10K and I feel fortunate for buying it. The downside to this transaction was getting the car from Long Island to CA. The auto transport industry is full of shysters and liars. They promise the world and do not deliver. It took one month to get my car shipped. The first carrier didn't do squat. The second one did move it but at a snail's pace and was a week late. Plus, it ain't cheap, $1,100.00 in my case. So, my 10K car cost 11.1K. But even at that, it's still a good deal because the car is so well taken car of and less than 38K miles. It's like new. The seller in NY, Select Auto Brokers, were great. When it was discovered there was some very minor paint scrapes on the front bumper, Dennis took care of it, so now, it's perfect. My recommendation when buying a car on Ebay, use a seller with loads of positive feedback, and try to find one close to you. If you're in PA, NY or the eastern seaboard, Select Auto has some nice used cars at fair prices. Plus, NY sellers who are brokers must, by law, warranty the cars for a short period of time, even though they may not tell you this, it's NY law. But if you're in CA or the West, getting a car from NY to CA will be a pain. It can be worth it if the car and price are right, as in my case. In CA, everyone wanted at least 13K and more for similar cars, so I saved nearly 2K by getting it from Select Auto Brokers. I am very satisfied with the car and the overall transaction.
