What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

1973 Ford Bronco: Worste ebay purchase ever!

• Overall Satisfaction:
I really liked the picture and price of the 1973 ford bronco, so i went ahead hit the buy it now and followed threw with the down payment agreement. I called the seller and we made arrangements on me driving 6 hours one way to pick it up. I made it to the vehicle about 15 minutes before the seller, it gave me time to really look it over. Immediately i noticed that the bronco had massive cancer rust that was hidden from the photos and not explained in the description of the jeep. I was so disappointed that i had to explain to the seller that there was no way i could buy this jeep because it didn't even resemble the one in the pictures or description. The seller even tried to discount the jeep to me 1,500$. Although that sounded great it wasn't because there was around 8 thousand dollars worth of repairs that was going to have to be done for the jeep to meet what it was originally suppose to look and drive like. In my opinion this ebay seller should have his account relinquished, he has proven himself a fraud. I noticed he did relist the jeep on ebay with a completely new description from his original one. please please don't support this seller as he is extremely unaccurate in his desrcriptions.

Overall I would say it was a good experience. The person I bought it from was more than willing to work with me. I did a best offer and negotiated it to a price to allow for the possible repairs a truck that old may require. When we got it home I had my mechanic check it out and it needed new brakes, Tires, ignition switch and steering gear box, among other things that could be put off. By the time I got the "HAD to be fixed items" fixed, it had cost me what the original Buy it now price was. We also got alot of the cosmetic Items and the Tires at our local "cash for Clunkers" junk yards. new seats, new door panels, spare Tires holder for the back door and 5 barely used tires with rims all for about $250. Very happy with my purchase... just have to be smart about allowing for what might be wrong, mechanical objects that old are bound to need some work...

THIS TRUCK LOOKS NICE BUT, WHEN IT I GOT IT HOME. AND HAD A CHANCE TO LOOK CLOSE THERE WERE MANY PROBLEMS. THE TRUCK DESCRIBED AS NO RUST & EVERTHING WORKS. HAS EXSTENSIVE RUST. IN SOME PLACES YOU CAN SEE DAY LIGHT.A DEAD BATT ,WINDOW HANDLE, DOORHAND, RADIO SPEAKERS, E-BRAKE, GAS LEAK,LIFT GATE MISSING PARTS,MISSING KEYS. ARE SOME OF THE ITEMS THAT DON'T WORK. I BID THE TRUCK BELIEVING THAT THERE WAS LITTLE OR NO RUST. BECUASE THEY ASKED ME TO WIRE MONEY TO THIER PERSONAL CHECKING ACC. BEFORE I TOOK POSSION. I WAS SUSPIOUS AND SHOULD HAVE AND SHOULD HAVE TERMINATED DEAL THERE BUT I DID NOT. AFTER INVESTING TIME AND MONEY IN TRANPORTING THE VEHCAL 1500mi BACK TO UNITED STATES. I AM STUCK WITH THIS VENDERS LIES ABOUT THIS TRUCK. I WILL SAY THAT IT IS A BEAUTIFUL TRUCK THAT OTHER WISE RUNS FINE. I PAID MARKET PRICE FOR A VEHICAL IN EXELLENT CONDISTION AND GOT A VEHICAL IN DISREPAIR.

Its simple, Ford Bronco's are a vehicles I like, previously owned a 1985 Ford Bronco and I just like them. Now, they are destined to be a classics, discontinued in 1996 I am slowly with attention to detail restoring my Bronco. The appeal in reliability and the look, few vehicles resemble the Bronco. The only thing I did not like about my Bronco is the previous owner smoked in it, and getting the smell out takes alot of scrubbing.

1991 Ford Bronco: Why NOT to buy a car off ebay

I called before purchasing this vehicle to inquire about specifics of problems. I was told mechanically it was in good working order with the only problem needing to be fixed was the switch for the back power window. Engine had few miles since valve job and new ignition parts. All the power and air working with exception of back window. Vehicle was being used as "show vehicle" for 4X4 company.
On first day of driving, the brakes were hardly working ... nearly causing me to wreck. The engine also had a miss to it and lack of power, the air conditioner did not work and the only power window to work was the passenger side and it was slow. I drove straight to a garage to have everything checked out. I was shown the brake system was in need of total repair - including brake lines that were rusted and brittle. The repair was in excess of $3500. The engine turned out to be even bigger problem. An engine rebuild shop tore down the motor while I was there and showed me that the intake gasket was leaking air on the rear of the motor and had caused a burned piston. The chunk of piston that broke off resulted in a broke sparkplug and no compression on that cylinder. The opposite cylinder was also about to come apart. since this motor had a recent valve job which requires removing the intake, I can assume that the problem was ongoing. A total engine replacement was in order for another $5000. I haven't even addressed the other problems but you can get the idea.
My only "saving grace" (I thought) was the buyers protection program from ebay/paypal. I filed the complaint since the person I bought the vehicle from more or less told me it's my problem now only in a nice way. Ebay/paypal declined my filing stating the offer did not cover any mechanical problems. It makes me wonder exactly what it did cover if not for the mechanical problems that I was told by seller was in good working order.
This experience has soured me on the ebay experience as false claims by sellers appear to be allowed withour consequenses. I bought this vehicle for $4000, paid another $800 for shipping and now have over another $8000 invested to bring up to safe driving standards. The seller nor ebay/paypal have offered to help rectify the problem!

This is a good multipurpose vehicle. It runs well, even with over 150,000 miles. The only down-side is the rusted tailgate.

1975 Ford Bronco: Choosing a first generation Bronco

Old Broncos are a lot like a Jeep - except they have a little more room. One of the biggest advantages of the first generation Bronco over other vintage 4x4's is that it is so popular the aftermarket offers any part you could possibly want. The Bronco's advantage over the Jeep is that, because it is a Ford, engine performance parts are readily available if you go with the V8. Even though the Bronco is small, the manual transmission and transfer case both have cast-iron cases, and it comes with the famous Ford 9-inch rearend.
Probably the biggest disadvantage to the Bronco is that a lot of them came with manual drum brakes all around. If you get used to these, they aren't bad. However, several companies offer power and disc brake conversions that will save you front bumper a lot of pain and suffering in the bush.
For people who like a vehicle that comes with plush creature comforts, the Bronco isn't the way to go. But for people who like raw power, reliability, and a departure from the ordinary (i.e.: Jeeps), the vintage V8 Bronco is an excellent choice.
When purchasing a vintage Bronco, first one must survey either his/her bank account or skills. Ready to go Broncos are available for a premium price. Others can be found the need rust repair and other bodywork, mechanicals, etc. Don't be afraid to try something new!
The vintage Bronco seems to hold its value better than average so tell your wife or any other skeptics that it's an investment.
