1969 Dodge Coronet: Vietnam Veteran and Superbee Reunited

05/04/07
• Overall Satisfaction:
This is the Third one of these cars that I have had. I purchased a NEW 69 Superbee in 1969 from Grand Spaulding Dodge in Chicago with a 426 Hemi and 4 Speed and that was the BEST car I have ever owned. I unfortunately wrecked that car after comeing home from Vietnam in 1971 and did'nt buy another one untill 1995 but that car was a basket case and had more work that it needed than I was willing to do. I have been looking for another car just like this last purchase on Ebay for over 10 years and finally it came up and with a buy it now that was less than half of what this car books at in the NADA guide. I have since had it appraised at $54,000 because the car only has 10,000 original miles and there is NO rust since the car spent most of its life in a barn. The only thing I did'nt like about the car is it had a bench seat which I have already replaced with bucket seats. I bought this car sight unseen and then drove over 500 miles to pick the car up in Nebraska and I was not dissapointed but rather just the opposite.......I was overjoyed at the pristine condition it was in for a car that is almost 40 years old. This wonderful 4 speed muscle car was originally purchased new by a young man that went to Vietnam and never returned and now it has come back to a much older young man that also went to Vietnam that came home and spent what seems like a lifetime trying to be reunited with a love that some would not understand............a Red 4 speed 1969 Dodge Superbee!

Thank you Ebay for allowing this to happen.

1950 Dodge Coronet: 1950 Dodge Coronet /other models

04/13/07
• Overall Satisfaction:
I have had several 50 Dodges, and still own 3, 2 Coronet sedans and a Wayfarer business coupe.
Great around town car, keeps up great with city driving. One of the easiest manual transmissions you will ever shift. They never overheat in standing traffic, even if the outside temp is in the 3 digits. They do tend to wind up at highway speeds (55-60) and that is the time they tend to heat up (opposite of most cars)a bit. Optional overdrive helps that minor setback. They brake and steer surprisingly well for non-power units. Reliability (parts are easily obtainable and reasonably inexpensive) is excellent and quality is top notch.
Overall a wonderful car, a bit understated for the era in the styling department, very utilitarian as it was designed to be.

1967 Dodge Coronet: 1967 Coronet

I love the car, but the seller forgot to mention that the hood and the driver side rocker panel was all dented up. The transmission slips, the carbarator's bad, either than all that...everything else is good. This is what I was looking for.
I decided to buy it, because I wanted it.

1970 Dodge Coronet: Super Bee

02/11/07
• Overall Satisfaction:
The car I had was 1970 Super Bee 440/6 pak car with some added goodies to enhance it. The power was unbelievable!!! Ran high 11's low 12's in the 1/4 mile. Had little stupid things go wrong with it at times not major stuff but things that were an inconveinence - nickle/dime stuff. However if you want the true epitome of a muscle car this is the car to have.

1969 Dodge Coronet: 1969 Dodge Coronet Super Bee

• Overall Satisfaction:
I purchased one of the rare M code production cars with the 440 six pack engine. The car is a joy to drive. The doors shut with a solid feel. The ride is good considering the fact that it has a heavy duty suspension. Modern review of these cars speak highly of it's brutal straight line power while knocking the cornering capabilities. I can atest to the power and also have never felt uncomfortable turning a corner at speed with this car. This car is just a blast to drive.
