I just purchased a 81 z28 off of eBay w/FREE Vehicle Protection Plan. I had sent many emails and had numerous phone conversations with the seller about the condition of the vehicle BEFORE I purchased the car. I was assured the car was in GREAT shape with little to NO rust issues. In the description the seller writes quote there is a small amount of rust under the fender flares, but otherwise is in great shape this is a great car to restore and is in great shape to start with un quote. After paying for shipping and Upon receipt of the vehicle I had a body and paint expert look over the car. I was at that point informed quote this cars a rustbucket and not worth anything but use as a parts car un quote (NOT TO MENTION THE TRANSMISSION HAS NO REVERSE GEAR). Needless to say I imediately got on the phone to call the seller and was told they would talk it over and call me back. I have never received a phone call or email or any other type of reply back although I have emailed and phoned them numerous times since. I tried to opened a claim with eBay but was told there was nothing they could do for me and that I had to go through the VVP for any resolution in this matter. Since then I have emailed/phoned eBay and the VPP many times only to be told the car DOES NOT quailfy for the VPP because its more than 10 years old even when the description plainly states SMALL amount of rust under the fender flares but otherwise in great shape not to mention the numerous phone conversations and emails about its condition. I am now out $4,200 cost of car w/shipping and now am paying storage as well as having to have it towed to 2 tranmission shops for estimates on the tranmission work because it has no reverse gear. It seems to me that eBay has some responsibility to its members about fraudulent descriptions but why should they care when eBay makes money both ways from the seller selling the junk and from the buyer who buys the junk because he is the one who must now buy more items off eBay to fix up the junk. I have been burnt before on eBay but thats why I ask many questions and speak to the sellers directly now. Its just in this case the sellers LIED and I have no way to get this resolved other than to pay more money and open a civil suite against the sellers. I have been a member of eBay for many years but I am considering closing my account because when you really need help they say they cant help you that you must go somwhere else for resolution. So if you have cars that cant be inspected because of rust, just advertise on eBay and LIE and you can get rid of your rustbuckets too. Nobodys holding anyone resposible so SELL YOUR JUNK on eBAY and get away with it. So all in all my review is on going atleast untill this is settled I have still been purchasing parts on eBay because ofcourse now I own a rustbucket that needs fixing. Just goes to show eBay does not care if you lie there covered either way and make money on top of it all. I know there are alot of eBayers that are honest and would do the right thing if this were to happen to them but for the few that are out there that make money off of other people by lieing all I have to say to you is what comes around goes around and I hope and pray you all get exactly whats coming to you. Thank you eBay for this forum to atleast vent some of my anger and frustration because I have gotten very little satisfaction in any other attempts to resolve this problem. The only problem is I have alot more to say just

The 81 Camaro I bought is fantastic. It preformes just the way I would expect a muscle car should. It has had quite a bit of work done to it before I got it. It does have a few flaws and a few things I would like to change about it but it is 27 years old so "perfection" was not exected. Paint is a little rough, and the interior and suspension could use some work, but these are things I was expectiong to deal with and have no problem in dealing with these issues. Actually I am looking forward to fixing things on the car. I am very happy with the car and am looking forward to fixing it up. I am planning on keping the car for a very long time and creatting a lot of amily memories with it.

I bought an '81 Camaro Berlinetta off Ebay 4 years ago for my daughter. The car was as awesome as stated. This car has been super reliable, never breaking down or needing engine work. It handles curves as well as my BMW and has a much smoother ride than expected. It is very comfortable for my daughter, since she is short but most people do feel a little large in this car. This camaro is solid.

.I bought this camaro about a month ago and was just able to see this car about a week ago.I can say ,the pictures on ebay were not as clear as I would have hoped. It was not as clean as it appeared

VEHICLE NEEDS QUITE A BIT OF REPAIRS APPARENTLY IT WAS PROBABILLY SITTING FOR A PEROD OF TIME SOME OF THE MODIFIED THINGS WERE REALLY NEEDED TO BE CORRECTY DONE...I GUESS ANYONE CAN JUST THROW SOMETHING TOGETHER LIKE THIS AND SELL IT ON EBAY.....I DO RECOMMEND IN THE FUTURE AND OTHERS BUYING CARS HERE..TO GET A NEUTRAL INSPECTION COMPANY THAT KNOWS MORE ABOUT THESE CARS AND HAVE IT INSPECTED THROUGHLY BEFORE YOU MAKE UP YOUR MIND AND BUYING THE CAR.

This car is an awesome peice of machinery. I have been in the drag racing business since I could tell the difference between a camaro and a firebird, and this car is everything I hoped. The description was very honest and detailed the minor problems of the car, a slight misfire when the car is in the lower gears, but nothing my shop can't fix. I rated it a little lower on reliablility, because, this car is a decade old, and when cars get that old, they just become a little less reliable. The comfort was down a little too because you ahve to climb over the bar of the roll cage to get in, and my friends complain that the four-point racing harnesses stabbed them in the rear when they accidnetally sat on them. (but duh!) I was overall very satisfied with my purhase and would reccommend a modified camaro to anyone getting onto the strip.
