2007 Cadillac Escalade: 2007 Escalade

01/03/10
• Overall Satisfaction:
We've only had our 2007 Escalade for 1-month so I cannot comment on overall reliability, but we thoroughly enjoy driving it. We previously had a 2004 X5 4.4i Sport - the BMW was a great SUV, but with 3 kids we needed something with more room and the ability to haul additional passengers when needed.

We reviewed the Tahoe, Yukon and the Escalade. The Tahoe only had a 5.3L engine - I enjoy having the added power and being in Colorado at 6,000+ feet altitude, so the limit to the Tahoe power train ruled that one out. Between the Yukon and the Escalade, the Escalade was clearly a better ride, more refined and had a better dash layout and features. I wasn't too high on the overall "bling" (size of emblems, etc) on the Escalade and preferred the more under-stated Yukon, but the level of luxury in the Escalade was a clear difference.

I haven't been a GM owner for over 8 years and wasn't pleased with the reliability or build-quality in the past - looks like GM made some serious improvements to their lines beginning in 2007 and the revised model of the Caddy in 2007 fit the bill for us - Looks, Size, comfort and features. Interior finishes aren't yet on par with european makers, but are much improved.

Where else can you get 403 horsepower, electronic 6-speed transmission and haul 7 people while getting 19+ MPG?

2007 Cadillac Escalade: 2007 Escalade

12/01/07
• Overall Satisfaction:
This is my second Escalade and it has alot of options like auto start for cold morninhs, DVD, Auto tail gated opener, Moon roof. It is the newer body style and really looks and runs great. It is not fuel efficient but I don't drive much, I reecommend it and the dealer Frank Kent in Ft Worth, they did an excellent job

This is a great truck. I think all of the features and extras on this truck are great. It drives well and it has a large amount of space, something that is very beneficial considering that I'm a frequent traveler. I would recommend a truck such as this for SUV lovers like myself. If you are looking for style as well as comfort, this is the truck for you.

2007 Cadillac Escalade: Escalde all the way...

01/18/11
• Overall Satisfaction:
You will thoroughly enjoy this SUV... We have had the H2, Mercedes ML500, Mitsubishi Montero (sucks by the way), Tahoe and Suburban... AND the Escalade blows them all out the door. Its closest competition would be the H2, we put 200k on the H2 and the same on the Escalade, and we owned the new body style and never had any issues at all. We did all the regular maintenance at the Caddy dealer in Orlando, FL... WE worked with Hector as Massey Caddy on OBT just south of the Florida Mall.
Our setup was the 4-captain seats and the third row flat bench, the captain seats are the real key, and it allows everyone to not only easily get in and out, but also move around if necessary. I really can’t think of any negatives except it was 68k brand new, we traded in our H2 which was paid for so we only has to write a check for like 48k. We went with the black interior and white exterior and we get so many complements its nuts, we also took out DIRECTV dish from the H2 and mounted that and it worked perfectly with the electronics. It makes 9-12 hour drives not so bad, if that’s possible.
We just bought another Escalade from CarsCostPlus.com and we purchased the exact same thing but only paid 38k for a 2009 model. CarsCostPlus.com will buy you anything you want directly from the auction, from any auction throughout North America and Canada, we live in Orlando and our Caddy came from California.

2007 Cadillac Escalade: This truck is amazing!!!!

12/22/09
• Overall Satisfaction:
I love this Escalade. It has every creature comfort possible. They thought of everything including a sensor to wash your windows when they need it. The EXT has all the benefits of a truck but the comfort of an SUV. The compliments that I have received since getting this truck have been amazing. Everyone loves the look of it.

2007 Cadillac Escalade: 2007 Escalade EXT

11/27/09
• Overall Satisfaction:
Have lots of friends that call it a glorified Avalanche until they take a ride. Have had ZERO issues and the ride is fantastic. Have always wanted a supercharged range rover, but my next vehicle will be another Escalade.

2007 Cadillac Escalade: Escalade is a flashy ride!

11/17/09
• Overall Satisfaction:
I have a 2007 Cadillac Escalade with just over 55k miles, and it is very stylish and flashy. Its a White Diamonds color with the 22 inch chrome wheels. The 18 inch wheels do not do justice to the vehicle, since it is larger than the previous model. I personally upgraded from a 2004 escalade, and some what regret it now. Although, the new model is very stylish, the 2004 model was more roomy on the inside, had more comfortable seats, and was a smoother ride. Although I had the 17 inch rims on that one, which may have atributed to the smoother ride.

On another note, my cruise control is not functioning, there is a weird vibration/hesitation when accelerating, and when I have it in tow mode, the RPMs shoot way to high, like its stuck in 2nd gear.

Other than that, it is pretty powerful, and i recently took it on a road trip and averaged about 16 mpg on the highway with the A/C on. So I guess thats not to bad. Thats about what I would average with my 2004 model. I had a K&N air filter installed on both, so i think that helps.

The main reason I decided to buy this vehicle was because of the new body style. Secondly was because I wanted a new vehicle. If I were to have the opportunity to choose what I would do again, I think I would have kept my 2004 and just upgrade the wheels to the 22 inch OEM rims. I hope this review helped.

One last note, just because my Escalade is having these problems, doesn't mean that all of them will. So good luck on your purchase.
